You toss the merchant some silver coins, and he tosses you two vials filled with a reddish liquid. Throughout the night, you rotate sentry duties while the rest of you get some much needed sleep. In the morning, you get up and press onward through the fortress. In a long and narrow hallway, you run into a few more cultists surrounded by wispish humanoid creatures. They immediately turn to attack you as they see you.
