I just feel really bad for shiki. Jake can still treat her arguments with respect whether they agree with them or not.In post 3673, esuriospiritus wrote:

afraid i don't think the nom matches my memory of nancy's play either tbh
i just haven't noticed much of what shiki's saying
i also don't think the phrase "reconsider it" connotes empathy in the way shiki outlines either
she's definitely passionate and i think a nancy title should reflect that for sureYou can't step in the same river twice.-

Nom NancyDrew39 for Heaven Scent
I have known Nancy for some time and have played more than a handful of games with them. I have a hard time translating my thoughts in a way that results in an accurate understanding of my intent, but it is my privilege to attempt to put some reasoning forward on Nancy's behalf.
The way I see Nancy:
* Caring, kind-hearted, strong, bold, loyal, passionate, relentless, intelligent. *
These characteristics enable her to leave a strong impression of her character on the community. Hence the play on the word "scent" she will defend those she cares for with little regard for herself much as the Heroine does against a schoolyard bully. Which would be the "Heaven sent" part of the title.
In mafia games she often dominates the thread and could be viewed as a god send due to her relentless pursuit of her goal. She is great as both Town and Scum, though when she is off the mark as Town or pocketed by scum her dominance can also be seen as a god send to Scum who often hide behind her lol. As Town her ability to sniff out deceit is also uncanny which has scared me at least once because when she latches on it is next to impossible to get her off your trail. As Scum Nancy is able to feel genuine and is strong at emotional manipulation. I've found it is a rare ability to play well as both alignments.
I think Nancy is a beautiful spirit and fun to play mafia with, so this title fits her well from my perspective.<3 xx-

Anti-Nom Reconsider It!(I object to this describing or even fitting Nancy)

To be honest, I don't think I've done enough to deserve a title, but that's a rumination for my GTKAS thread.Show"I'm sorry that you put asbestos in your coffee."

I understand how incentives work but I don't think there's "likely" to be "too much harm" and that's why I used those wordings specifically. In post 3687, House wrote:

If it's that much of a nuisance, rewarding it is even a worse idea.In post 3690, Ythan wrote:The context you might be missing is that Jake does this exact thing often enough that it itself is almost title worthy, and an end to that that makes everyone happy Jake included would be lovely.

People care a lot about these things and I think it's nice to be nice. That's basically where I'm coming from. Jake's neat. Rules are cool and fun but these rules exist to serve a greater purpose of spreading joy. You can stop trying to explain the situation I very much understand what you're trying to express. There's more to it than that and your response does not in any way dissuade me from what I intend to say.-

Ythan, I would reject that title because, first and foremost, it would not adequately describe who I appear to be. Hell, you could literally give me the title QBTMC and that would more adequately describe how I spend my time here than that.
I don't actively campain for the removal of all titles. I try not to be negative here. When I see a bad title, I try my very best to not rudely call it out. I think titles are good, and the people who get them should at least fit the criteria that the proposer themselves set.
If you really want me to go away, then let us both go to the moderators to see about fairly limiting my time here on the title forum. Giving me a title will not make me go away.Show"I'm sorry that you put asbestos in your coffee."
