That shit was setup spec.

I'm less than clueless about setup spec in this game.

Activity theorizing, however, I'm very familiar with. I'm a spammy motherfucker as either alignment and have always been that way, so it's something i see a lot of discussion about.

I think voting Thor is a bad idea unless someone has a case other than busywork/not normal content. Like, is the information being put forward actually being used maliciously or anything?
Bee, being spammy with no content is suggestive of scum. We don't need an ironclad case D1 just >rand scum.
I don’t think that it’s spammy though? And it’s content even if it’s not what’s traditional content. I don’t want to vote out someone like that today.

Who else would you want to vote?

Tension produces more content - would you agree?
It's difficult to act perfectly naturally when it looks like the game is headed in the wrong direction for you as scum - would you agree to this?
That should make the case for pressuring, right?

Do you think it's scummy?
I'm starting to lean that way.

I love mech spec, and if you look at the style of games I play I tend to go for mech heavy or bastard games. Looking at the games I've run (all 2 of them - still need an outside reviewer for the second) you can see I love mech weirdness.

If you want me to get down and dirty in the mech here, I can and I will, but the conclsion is always going to be the same. The human element alone here is enough to throw the spec out of the window.

I can tell you what my options were that I was going to choose from, and few people will actually believe me because of how I approach these games.

I was looking at PGO, Vengeful and Universial Backup. I'm not going to say what I actually selected but I was looking at those as I sent my number in.
Wait what does your role and what you wanted have anything to do with this, like, offhandedly bringing this up?

Your vote on Thor was :/ to me because I see him as you in Yin and Yang where everyone jumped on you for not playing the game the same way. What differences do you see in your play there and what’s happening now?
Bringing it up to give evidence of the human element, because frankly I ain't a normal human. You look at the list, and think about what you would pick, then compare to what I'd narrowed my options to - bearing in mind even if I was the first to pick, that would be my pool.

I haven't voted for Thor either, my vote is an RVS vote that stuck.
The difference in mechanical information available is the difference here. I was using in-game mechanics as I believed them at the time. Thor has gone as far as the game setup is not randomised but arbitrarily picked, and now as far as pagetop counts. The setup rand I can forgive, I saw that as a legitimate mistake. If it turns out I know the player behind the alt, that could change. Going on pagetops and out of game mechanics is considerably different to what I was doing.

And tbh I think the last game I had where I didn’t snap to a read on House was actually a scumgame so that’s actually just a lie in general.

True, but I'd rather sift through <Earnest town unnatural play vs Scum panic play> as opposed to <town chilling vs scum chilling>.

How can you categorize earnest & unnatural together? That doesn't make any sense.

I think the more likely scenario is that earnest town is at their most natural, and that different perspectives aren't alignment indicative.

Sometimes, but it's not always
good
content. When the players are invested enough in the game, there should always be plenty to talk about.
It's difficult to act perfectly naturally when it looks like the game is headed in the wrong direction for you as scum - would you agree to this?
Yes. However it is also difficult to act in a way as town that doesn't make people suspicious that this is happening. Particularly the type of people who are prone to getting pressured are often also the type of people that do weird things or freak out under pressure.
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!

We're thinking of variant definitions for "natural", I guess. I mean in the sense of deviating from how you'd play without pressure. I believe that deviations in town play and scum play, while both might be different from usual under pressure, have differences in that town know they're being wrongly limmed.
