salsa did absolutely nothing so there's no read there. if hockey comes up scum she might have defended him a little bit. but it doesn't look like a defense so i don't have any reason to think they're partnered.
43 kinda pinged me like scum being overzealous, i've known this to be a tell that works for me sometimes. but i've liked their posting, they're giving reads in the thread and i think they could be town.

Have you thought about the 8 ball yet? I've considered hockeyfan, Salsa, you and Norwe. It seems to me like Ta Vera, Enchant and I are unlikely to be the 8 ball.

I get the sense you're being a bit evasive here, I don't know who hockeyfan is either, heuristically speaking hockey fan's aren't known for their rhetorical defense and being unknown could be a reason alone to be chosen as the 8ball. I think chasing lunchbait is often a bad proposition D1 anyway and seems even worse given the setup, and I get lunchbait vibes from hockeyfan.

i'm not personally sure how to read someone as 8ball so i don't really have 8ball reads. The only thing I can think of is mafia wanting to draw attention to themselves either as the 8ball to get limmed and get a kill, or as not the 8ball to look like the 8ball and be avoided as a lim target. I don't know which is more likely if either are even likely at all.

I only played a couple newbies with Salsa before. They don’t really stand out to me as being limbaity in those games?

that feels inconsistent with how I'd expect scum to approach d1 in this setup lol. powering thru an 8ball elim on d1 usually involves cashing in a fair bit of towncred; d2 you can kinda anticipate which elims you'll get to an extent
