If this is a player already /in then I'll probably need a replacement player too haha

If you're willing to sub but only as a player then /in anyway, I'm sure one of the other players would be willing to be spymaster

i have like, one i love, and a few i'm mulling over, and some i'm lukewarm about

AZTEC - aztecs probably not huge on driving
FIGURE - eh
NOTE - nah
PITCH - i don't think so

CZECH - sure, czechs drive!
MEXICO - sure, mexicans drive!
ORANGE - orange cars...?
BOTTLE - do not drive after bottles
MICROSCOPE - driving your eye into the microscopic plane
RACKET - this can't be a 'racquet' clue can it? idk if 'driving has anything to do with tennis just wondering. i don't super see this. vehicles can make a racket i guess.
DOG - gosh i sure hope not

BAT - driving the skies
MOUSE - drives a computer.....?

TRUNK - this is slightly below exciting but you drive things with trunks
LOCK - unlock vehicle to drive?

TAIL - tailgating ? maybe ?
PIT - this is like, where racing cars get fixed right ?
STREAM - i'm sure people stream driving games? streamers 'drive' a stream? maybe?
ALIEN - drive spaceships
FOOT - you use these to drives
HOTEL - car parks? valets? sure?

Loving the commentary

I thought of:

TRUNK
PIT [stop]
SPOT (as in a parking spot) - could still fit as in looking for a spot while driving

Though mallow did give “driving” instead of “car” as the clue, so maybe there’s a word that’s not related to cars. Could be helicopter! One technically flies helicopters, but I can still see that fit.

I also think foot is a good contender.

that's a great point re. spot; wasn't thinking of a parking spot. it probably shows that i don't drive.

i also feel like we're probably looking for something a little abstract, or perhaps two car things and a non-car thing? or maybe all non-car things? mallow is playing 3d chess and i'm playing connect 4.

i think i'm helicopter > pit > foot roughly. do you have any ideas about order of guesses?

Hm. I don't get much out of this one.
As a spiritual symbol, I don't see any connections.
As a reference to totem poles ... maybe? FIGURE, AZTEC, MEXICO come to mind, but I honestly don't know what sort of roles totems play (or played) in Mexican / Aztec society.

Totem poles are North American. I’m not sure whether it extends as far south as Mexico but I think the general association with Mexico and the Aztecs is there
