mb = mathblade? They are not in this game. Do you think Nomsy could be someone not on the regular player list, or were you not paying attention? In post 98, Malakittens wrote:I might be wrong about nosmy being MB. I think it’s a different player now.-

Oh I thought they were in the game. Never mind, then I know exactly who Nomsy is then.No matter how high the stakes, sooner or later you're just gonna have to go with your gut.
And maybe, just maybe, that'll take you right where you were supposed to be.

Best friends: I don't agree with friendly neighbor, I think that interpretation is based on the name of the trait rather than what it does in the source; I think this trait pairs people up in some way and gives a buff. Maybe just 1 pair for balance.
Mage crest: A mage emblem is an item that makes you count as having 1 additional mage on your team, for the purpose of set bonuses. This sounds pretty specific to the mage role so it's surprising to me that we have two people voting here right now.
Ancient Archives: A tome of traits gives you a choice between different emblems. I have no clue how that would translate to an ability here. Could be similar to mage crest but with different choices.-

A Sufficiently strong divergence from the known patterns of a towngame with no Sufficiently strong explanation as to justify the discrepancy is reason enough. In post 156, Frogsterking wrote:

It is not that I couldn't back this up, for were I to put the effort in, I could; it is that I saw no reason to put time into it because I have better uses of my time than proving what is already EVIDENT to me.

Of this, I am aware. In post 159, Toogeloo wrote:Of course, if mastina is town and I'm scum, I could just say, "Oh, mastina is town, look how good I read her!"
You developing a townread on me is not proof of your alignment. That is not you TEST.
Should it be the case where you have undergone your TRIAL, regardless of the results, I shall then need to pass JUDGEMENT upon you.
But that will come in the future.-

Best Friends
Mage Crest
Ancient Archives
Mage Crest gives the Mage trait to a unit usually lacking it; this allows for double-casting their ability.
In a mafia sense, this means it's either granting Multitasking or a double-shot of an ability, e.g. using two cops at night instead of one.
Ancient Archives gives a Tome of Traits, from a semi random list of four. Whichever trait you get gives the trait selected to a unit.
In a mafia sense, this is either empowering the player holding the selected trait, or making a player with a different trait gain a power from a new trait.
Best Friends buffs until next to each other, which is either a buff to two players, or just giving them a neighborhood.
Best Friends seems like the safest least volatile most known outcome to me, since the other two are more of a gamble.-

Oh, misspoke on Mage.
Either Multitasking via double shot, OR, a buff to the player holding the Mage trait.-

185 seems pro Town to me.
Finding scum is only half the battle, you need to convince others as well.In post 180, mastina wrote:It is not that I couldn't back this up, for were I to put the effort in, I could; it is that I saw no reason to put time into it because I have better uses of my time than proving what is already EVIDENT to me.Bruce: Terry. I've been thinking about something you once told me... and you were wrong. It's not Batman that makes you worthwhile; it's the other way around. Never tell yourself anything different.
Terry: ...Thanks.-

Sure 185 seems pro-Town but there was already substantial talk on the subject so scum!mastina may have felt compelled to spill her takes on the options. It’s NAI for me rn.In post 188, Frogsterking wrote:185 seems pro Town to me.

So does choosing an augment also add that augment to the actions we take or is it just a mechanic?ShowWhatever the chains placed upon me

tbf my last game with mastina (murdercat's drafting) they had a confidently correct scumread that also had the flaw of only really looking at one alignment. In post 156, Frogsterking wrote:
