Wait what's the plan for recount tomorrow? How does it get used as a parity check if it only tells us binary y/n if there was a scum on the wagon but not how many?

It's not exactly a parity check.
Basically, no one votes except 2 people on the chosen execution wagon and we let it pass by plurality. If we get a no, they're both confirmed town, and if we get a yes, we know at least one of them is scum.

Yeah, the votes go by plurality, so a wagon with only two people is so a lim as long as it's the wagon with most votes

I did plurality voting once…but with secret votes. Got me Game of the Year, but never again will I have 23 individual private threads to keep up with Private Votes

Maybe I don't understand the mechanics of this game but why is no one dying at night?

No, you're not misunderstanding, we don't know why. The prevailing idea is that they need to get enough money to spend to do it (a billboard of their own basically) but we don't know for sure.

fl is probably right about the poisoner thing, based on what we know of our billboard. we can execute people, but with drawbacks; like sacrifice doesn't kill scum, assassination doesn't flip players, the whole thing with lovers etc. i expect scum similarly have a few options to kill, but none of them will be as simple as just kill i think

I used deep wolf because FL mentioned it, but they are generally town read.....so if they are scum, isn't crazy to call Merlyn that.

I can agree with you on Cakez toDay, don't like their entrance and don't like their defense about how they missed the council. Vibes seem way off.

i am starting to, and this wont surprise anyone in the Council last, suspect CSF.

With the poisoning especially, it does make some sense that scum would be okay with going for Torture on me, if they planned to poison me.

I feel like, if we can, we get the Recount as best as we can, but hitting scum is the biggest priority. Scum are likely going to try to fight it.

I trust Snivy, I trust Devil, and I trust Hu Tao right now, I would say. I'm leaning town on Merlyn, but idk.

I don't really think Aureal/Cakez look that SvS based on how Cakez pushed Aureal as a counterwagon to Marci yesterday and also voted her right out of the gate today

I've been feeling a little about her lately because a few times now she's popped in with "why did you say THAT, it seems pointless" questions aimed at me that feel rather like she's trying to undermine me. I don't really know why my comment about the way the marci flip went down was supposed to be weird: it seems pretty obvious to me that scumflips with nothing but your townreads on the wagon are going to be vanishingly rare, especially in earlier stages of a game like this.

Also I had the sudden feeling that maybe Devil had come up with the late push for Election Security in order to get us to use more budget so scum could afford the poison. But I went back and checked and we actually spent 10k less than if we'd done a development since Election Security is only 10k. So never mind that.
