Now while this is true..

I also think scum!Una would have given up on trying this by now because doing this is not affecting the gamestate in any tangible way or particularly appealing to anyone.

..this is not so much.
I'd argue that I might do anything I'd normally do as town, as scum too. I know this isn't a very compelling argument for town!Una here, but I'm being honest here.

I don't think I'd ever play Mafia with the literal intention of "trying to influence the game state"..alignments aside.
I mean, I obviously want to be a positive influence and out my reads and thoughts to further the game..?
I guess it's just not the way I'd put it at least.

I am going to vote for almost anyone if it's literally the last day with 1h to go and someone is at L-1, make no mistake about it.
But I'm definitely not ready to talk about cooperation yet if these are the two leading wagons, and literally no one is voting with me or even discussing my posts about your slot at all.
