The advantage is that we know there are 10 roses and 4 guns:
If mafia fake claim rose we know we can trust the gun claims
If mafia true claim gun they can be held accountable for where they are targeting
The downsides to claiming is that mafia can then target the guns. And the knowledge of guns today may not be helpful.
1. All four guns claim today. Unlikely to happen since guaranteed at least one mafia chose a gun and might not want to claim.
2. Only claim the day you get your gun. Wiser in the long run, not very helpful d1.
3. Don't claim at all. Fuck it we ball approach, probably shouldn't do that. xD

I think when factoring that in scum have increased incentive to pick rose, to muddy the numbers
Also, I think any rose claims should never specify a night. Leave scum to guess imo.

Right. Roses should only claim on no death nights (if any). Guns claim who they shoot.

I think I'm in the not mass claiming boat as well and agree with guns claiming if they've made a kill. I suppose that begs the question, do they only claim if they make a kill? Not if they shoot a rose that was BP that night?

The goal is to track scum kills. On a no death night, a gun should claim because it confirms a bp player that night. It does out a rose, but it essentially confirms them. We do have a fair amount of roses.
If we track a rose that survived on a no kill night with no corresponding gun kill, then it's very likely that slot is town. (There are edge cases, but best not to go into them.)
We don't want a massclaim. We only want claims when they lead to info.
