I think her likelihood of her being scum in a vacuum is probably a bit less than rand.

Again I'm not going to pretend that I have amazing reads and that my reads are entirely logical, they're usually not, and 40% of the time I do deserve to get completely shot down.

I considered asking you about the meta only to decide it was overly burdensome. What a pleasant surprise. I'll evaluate it tomorrow.

For all intents and purposes her partners just don't exist. She gives an early hedge-y read on Pooky but she revises that read a few posts later to say that actually Pooky is town. While this might look similar to how she treated camel in this game, in this game she still gave herself room to push and continue suspecting camel which is not what she did with Pooky - she ignored Pooky for the rest of the game except when directly addressed. This starkly contrasted with her treatment of other slots in similar positions like Dannflor. As for skitter, ydra ignored her the entire game until she faked a PR result on her. When I ctrl-F'ed "skitter" in her ISO I got 11 results, 9 of which were from quotes. Skitter and Pooky are both in the nulltown portion of her readlist for virtually the entire game.

Of course, this starkly contrasts with how ydra treats camel:

fundamentally i disagree with you because i think that while it is nice as a wolf to be able to do as you want sometimes it’s not optional to do what you want in order to live
my interpretation of her play in a nutshell is that she took a slot that was suspected partially due to inactivity. she kicks it up immediately with her opening and doubles down on certain reads which she’s mostly kept throughout the entire game
i’m going to argue to you that she is wolf because she is inflexible; i think that if she was town, i think that she would have come to more conclusions post flip. she’d be more interested in actual content than, fmpov, fighting and fearmongering and trying to broker deals. i feel like the fights she’s getting in now with shirou are like… not actually things rooted to content in the game in a way that matters. they’re a way to push a wagon through under some very flimsy prospects.

i’d appreciate it if you’d reread even part of her iso considering this because it’s very hard for me to see what she’s done in this game as towny

ydra also never talks about Firebringer this game but there was never much to talk about wrt to him, and in the end, instead of hedging on him, she's his top townread for most of the game. This is the exact same as how she treats jjh. She never talks about him, never provides reads on him, and eventually has jjh as her 2nd-best townread.

I guess obviously pooky and skitter are obviously much better at scum than camel and probably Firebringer, and the way that ydra engaged with camel could have been intended to get him into the game and not be constant limbait, but again, I really do not think that scum!ydra would go ahead and half-bus camel while also trying to engage with him and find his alignment. Nor do I think that scum!ydra would go ahead and have scum!Firebringer as her top townread with no explanation.
I don't know if I appropriately evaluated the context of the game in which Pooky and and skitter were in though, like how other players were treating them in the moments that ydra gave nullreads on them.

I apologize but I may have to again put this game in the backseat. I was just informed that a good friend and major personal inspiration has passed away.

I expect to still put in work tomorrow, but I don't know if I will feel up to it.

Thanks, I appreciate the thought. I'd ask other people not comment on it from here. I am sad but I will be okay.

I feel bad for bringing it up, but I prefer to be very open/clear about my status and availability and why so people can make an informed judgment. If I wind up ghosting tomorrow (or worse, I'm here but even more irritable than usual), thank you in advance being patient.

T3, if it's not Ydra, then who is it?

We're in the last day of this setup. We're most likely looking for the hardest scum of the 3 to catch

at least that feels like the “best” option to me right now, i think that firebringers posts around them feel pretty sparse and even when fb voted dragons it wasn’t a very serious thing, pressure dispersed easily elsewhere

less sure about camels <-> dragons but i think dragons isn’t… ruled out entirely for me

hello good morning

and maybe, i’m unsure. yesterday kind of served as a litmus test for who wolves could keep with the wagons and i don’t remember dragons getting ran up much. i think the day ended with only me and jjh on him

like looking at vcs dragons didn’t get much attention compared to imaginality or t3 who are both here now

i think it could be imaginality still but unsure… i feel okay about t3 evaluating me to the depth he has this game, and i really don’t think he has to do that as wolf when the easier line is to egg on jjh

like of everyone left

i don’t think it’s prism. the repeated “i’ll post later” attitude scares me because it’s not like anyone is ever going to push prism but the repeated and insistent pushing of camel feels real. maybe it was the long con no one will really go here but meh
i don’t think it’s t3 right now
i don’t… think it’s jjh? i think it’s very strange to be scum and sell your vote to someone but also have a push you want in endgame and you’re like, okayyy i’ll follow you instead. i guess scum jjh assumes he won’t be voted by prism? it feels like it gives up a lot of agency though as wolf to do what you might have to endgame. he still could eventually but it feels very restrained
it could be gob maybe, i think the strength of the push on gob yesterday though wasn’t bussing. it felt more like it was real on townie parts (andres i think?) and fire was feeding into it and making it louder
i think it could be dragons and imaginality

Scum could take basically guaranteed victory but instead choose to leave town puzzled and risk victory?

like in retrospect i don’t think firebringer was playing a foolproof or uncatchable game. i think that he may have had trouble sustaining like… believable energy and logic at this point when he was under more scrutiny if he was forced to play and his other partner left instead.
