Town Flying Shimmering Fruit Vendor

You have flying; only other players with flying can successfully target you.

Each night, you may give a player a
✧shimmering fruit✧
.

A player receiving a
✧shimmering fruit✧
will immediately eat it. Those who have eaten a shimmering fruit have their name show up as
✧cyan with 4-pointed stars around it✧
in votecounts.

Math-Immune Townie

If a player's role PM involves mathematical concepts more complex than basic arithmetic, you are immune to all abilities from that player.

Basic arithmetic includes adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers. Counting and numbers are examples of mathematical concepts less complex than basic arithmetic.

Dyscalculic Townie

You have protection from abilities which come from sources with numbers in their name.

Protection will nullify the effects of said ability, good or bad. For instance, this role cannot be affected by a Night One Cop, but it can be affected by a Non-Consecutive Night Cop.

Mafia Exponentializer

Target someone at night to exponentiate their role. Any effects with numbers in them are changed to the power of 2 of that number. (For instance, a 3-shot Doctor with two shots remaining would be affected by this role to become a 9-shot Doctor with 4 shots remaining. A Night 3 Cop would become a Night 9 Cop.)

Your target is aware of the exponentiation.

Werewolf Numerologist

Each Night, you may choose a nonnegative integer n not greater than 7. You will receive an integer number equal to the sum of the n-th powers of the post numbers in the GIM thread of the roles of the players that were alive at the beginning of the Night, plus a random integer from 0 to 2n.

You may not choose the same value for n twice.

Quadratic Reroll

The moderator rolls a number from 0 to the number equal to the square root of the amount of roles in the Grand Idea Mafia thread, rounded down.

The moderator then squares that number and gives you the role card corresponding to that number.

That's up to the moderator to determine, but I would say so. "Target two people at night. Assuming no interference with your action, you will learn if your targets share an alignment or not." becomes "Target four people at night. Assuming no interference with your action, you will learn if your targets share an alignment or not." This can also be interpreted in a few ways – I'd probably read it as "If all targets share the same alignment, return 'Your targets share an alignment.' If two targets do not share the same alignment, return 'Your targets do not share an alignment.'"

Town Superalignment Cop

Target someone at night. Assuming no interference with your action, you will learn your target's alignment
type
(but not actual alignment.) Your result comes up as a two-part response:

Informed (has knowledge of at least one specific player's alignment aside from their own inherent to their role)
Uninformed (does not possess inherent knowledge of other players' alignments inherent to their role)

Minority (is part of an alignment that does not constitute more than 50% of the population of the game at the time of investigation)
Majority (is part of an alignment that constitutes more than 50% of the population of the game at the time of investigation)

Each night, you may learn if a player is exactly one of {Vanilla, Town} or not and protect them from kills.

This role gets a positive result if their target is Town but not Vanilla or Vanilla but not Town, and a negative result if their target is a Vanilla Townie or neither Town nor Vanilla.

Mod Discretion Fae of Wishes

Modnote: the player who starts with this gets two Cosmos artifacts. (They're basic land artifacts with "You may send TAP: Cosmos in a game thread to collect one alien-colored mana. This ability recharges any time a day starts.")
You have no special abilities. You must cast yourself as one of the following sides of your role card to gain any abilities. You may not cast yourself as both sides at the same time:
  • To cast your creature side, send the mod
    CAST: Creature
at night. This costs two alien mana to do.
  • To cast your adventure side, send the mod
    CAST: Adventure
at night. This costs four mana to do, one of which must be alien mana.
CreatureYou gain Flying, meaning you can only be successfully targeted by roles with Flying.

At any time, you may send the mod
BOUNCE:
. This costs two mana to do, and you will forgo your vote for the next day. If you bounce yourself, you will lose all abilities from casting your Creature side, and may recast yourself again.

AdventureThe mod will request an additional player for the game. When it is Day next (or immediately upon finding a player if it is currently Day), the player will be added to the game, with a random role as dictated by the setup rules. You will learn their role (but not alignment). You then lose all abilities from your Adventure side, and may recast yourself again.

Casting yourself as an Adventure will make you lose your vote until the next day starts.

Mod Discretion Non-Town 1-Shot Phaser

Modnote: this role's alignment should be a non-Town alignment of your choice. This alignment may win with the Town, it just cannot be a Town faction.

Once per game, you may phase someone out. That player ceases to exist until a day starts. (
Phasing out does not cause the target to die. Instead, they are treated as though they are not a player in the game: they may not post in any game-related threads, cannot act or be affected or targeted by any ability, cannot be voted, cannot be executed, and do not exist for any intents and purposes. At the start of the next day, the player returns to the game as if they were deepstruck in, in exactly the same state as they were when phased out.
)

Town Pressured Reinforcements Bearer

When one of your faction members dying would lose you the game, you can privately call for reinforcements.

The mod will search for two additional players. They may note the following about joining the game in the advertisement:
This slot will die at the end of this day.

Players added to the game in this way will have the
Doomed
modifier applied to them (and will die at the end of the day), and will be otherwise vanilla members of your faction.

Town Simultaneous Doctor Neighborizer

Your role is Simultaneous. You may use more than one personal ability each night.

Each night, you may protect a player from a single kill.

Each night, you may add a player to your neighborhood.

This is intended to use the Simultaneous modifier recently added to Normal games. If this is applied to an alignment with factional abilities, whether inherent multitasking is enabled or not will determine if factional abilities and personal abilities can be used on the same night.

Town Appeal
//
Authority

When you initially confirm, your role is
Town Appeal
.

Once per game, you may target someone. They become Unstoppable, and protected from one kill for every 3 players that are alive on your faction for the night. You then lose this role and become
Authority
.

Town Authority

Once per game, you may target two players to tap them. (Tapping is functionally a roleblock, but also prevents a player from using abilities which require them to tap themselves until a day starts.) You will then willboost all members of your faction whom you did not roleblock with Authority. Once you use this ability, you are vanillaized.

Town Combined Warranted Cop Roleblocker

Town Combined Complex Checker Auditing Detective

Target someone at night. Assuming no interference with your action, you will learn if your action succeeded. Your Checker ability will fail if it targets someone who is Vanilla. You will also learn if your target has ever exercised an ability to kill in the game. If you receive a positive result on a binary investigative action the night you use it, the Detective ability will not function.

Auditing
is a modifier which only allows an action to succeed if its user also got a positive check on a binary investigative action the night they used it. I have used it exclusively with combined actions up to this point, to create a Cop which only blocks Mafia (sans Godfathers) and Millers, and to create a Vanilla Cop that also can find vanilla factional killers and people with vig shots vended to them.

Arsonist Who Persecutes Artists

You are an Arsonist. Each night, you may either Douse Artist or Ignite. To Douse Artist, name someone who has added cards to the GIM deck. They need not be in the game for you to name them. If you named someone in the game, you will douse them in gasoline. You will douse all players who have a role created by the named person. When you Ignite, all players doused in gasoline die.
Yes, this role will douse itself if it names Cook. If it names the mod, it will also douse everyone who has a role with mod discretion parts to it, such as the Mod Discretion alignment or a role designed by the mod. If someone designs a role that isn't in the deck, they are considered to be the author of the role. If a role that someone creates changes someone else's role or adds additional slots into the game with prescribed roles, the author of the role causing the changes or additions is considered to be the author. If a role causes similar changes at the player's discretion, the author of the new role is considered the author. A role may have multiple authors.

Mod Discretion Fascist Art Director

You are considered a Miller.

This role starts the game with two Hideout artifacts. (They're basic land artifacts with "You may send
TAP: Hideout
in a game thread to collect one
scum
-colored mana. This ability recharges any time a day starts.")

Pay two
scum
-colored mana and name someone who has added cards to the GIM deck: You gain protection from that author until the next time a day starts. You cannot be harmed by abilities with a source that you have protection from, targeted by abilities with sources that you have protection from, given, affected by, or use inventions, artifacts, and items from the source you have protection from, and your actions are Strong-Willed when they target someone you have protection from.
For instance, if you have protection from Cook, and a Mafia Goon card written by Cook tries to kill you, that action will fail. If you target the World's Best Role (Rolestopped Unjester) with a Cop invention which came from a different player, your Cop action will go through. If you are doused by the Arsonist Who Persecutes Artists when you have protection from Cook, you won't be. If you are ignited by them when you have protection, you won't die.
