i am not sure about the bianco or aureal tells as i am not sure if narration would change the scum confirmation method in this game or not
not realizing the real names were public info might be alignment indicative as with the names in the public thread i am not sure if they would be copied into the scum pt or not
and if they are not in the scum pt then i would assume scum would go looking for where the names they have to target with are

this actually jogged my memory a bit to go back and check and

in rautherdirs scum role pm for the conception game it said that confirmation could be done via posting in the scum pt as well
if we assume narration used the same format for this game then group scum at least may not have fully read their role
though i mean
they would at least know they were scum and probably who partners are

and i have to imagine stuff like them being a cult being a heavy topic of discussion so i am not sure this is alignment indicative or not

in the scum PT be considered confirmation though, in a game where describing your role is part of the requested confirmation task (for some of us at least)? If town is asked to confirm by describing it, would scum not also be asked? I don't get scum PMs so I have no useful experience here to draw upon.

But also, I can easily imagine there being absolutely no discussion in the scum PT. Feels like this game might actually just be full of lurkscum. Imagine a Kawaii (0 posts)/DX (1 post)/Titus team, there's no way

Uh, I don't think this happened? Rat was pushing back on Drew not realizing there was a list of names. I don't see anything that makes me think Rat didn't know there was a list, they just thought it might be worth locking people in on them early.

If scum don't know who they're targeting, we can't predict who they might target for protection, nor can we really draw conclusions if we do happen to learn of a conversion.

We can also assume scum have already shared their own names amongst each other, so a misfire is incredibly unlikely, and even if they don't get their first choice of conversion, Any conversion is good for them, far moreso than a standard scumkill.

It's the kind of scheme I would propose to my team as scum.

Except that if scum believe they would benefit from converting at random they can just... convert at random. Knowing names doesn't prevent dice from being thrown.

Eh, in my games I still do ask scum to confirm by posting "the same" in their PT if they rather not do it by PM so I just assumed. But you're right about Rauth's PM in Conception so whatever I guess.

That Rat dumbtell would look really bad if it happened, except that it didn't really. You are missing Flavor dumbtelling names could be chosen, which however I believe he did actually not know

The initial question I was answering was why scum would oppose the massclaim suggestion. While knowing names doesn't prevent them from converting randomly, if they're not going to use the names anyway, might as well take the ostensibly pro-Town position publicly.
