i realized i'm getting bogged down in distracting smoke and mirrors
it doesn't really matter what ranger claims to have thought about day 1 masons or whatever. it's all fluff that could be true or not. saying things like "look at it from my perspective" are just more distractions from the truth.
the real question is, did scum ranger try to get a wagon on scum python to dissipate yesterday by claiming python was a mason, or did town ranger really believe that.

reading into the subtext of putting python as the number 1 slot and keeping them there all day, i think it is possible ranger was setting them up to claim they were a mason from the jump. i think as a distancing tactic it is possible to put your buddy in the top spot because scum would probably put their buddies hiding somewhere in the middle. is this likely? maybe. possible? yes. What actually happened? I don't really know.
What i do know is that ranger came into the thread yesterday and tried to save python. I think it was a risky mission, but if she put so much work into the above, it would have been worth it to try.
When she came into the thread today, she made this bold claim that she knew python was a mason. Her evidence? Flights of fancy reading into things that simply weren't there. We know this is true because python was not a mason, so the things she was reading into don't exist. When questioned about it, she has doubled down that they do exist and that (i'm assuming here) "maybe she didn't catch masons being cheeky, but scum"
Furthermore, we know due to repeated talks of mason hunting that she is not one of the masons. So at worst, at worst we are losing a townie, and at best, we are losing one of python's partners. i think it is the latter. I'm just not buying it.
I had those same thoughts about Ranger. Today's posting could be to set up a 1v1, "win" that, and deepwolf.
Because of that, I don't think we can let her endgame. Scum will have two other priorities, if they have figured it out, so an early NK is unlikely.

I could compromise on Ranger but I'm still not sure if scum!her would try to save python in such a bold way. It's just not a play I would make as scum so it's hard for me to see someone else that seems to be very competent making that play
python was joking about being mason with Black and Dann since python-dann-black all voted cook so fast right after me - which i didnt like, i was like - wtf, 3 ppl voting right after my rvs
