What's a good way for town to approach this phase? I read a couple of pairing phases of other dance games but I'm not sure what's optimal.

i know nobody asked me but i would say that town should try to leave mafia out of the pairings, so they should try to pair with somebody who they think they can a) sort or b) am confident that they're town.

i think that if you were luke or implo, you would be instantly run up for forgetting the number of scum. from my experience playing with them, they're both very interested in mech so making a mistake with the setup would be a glaring red flag.
but you don't come across as somebody who pays attention to those sorts of things so it makes sense to give you a pass if it's the first time you forgot.
given you could've easily copy-pasted the confirmation phrase from the role pm without actually letting the info enter your mind.
but then, if you forget the number of scum again, there's no second chances.

i think that lld (when she wasn't high) seemed similar in both games.
tho lld was more serious in that game overall. but it's probably nai since i don't think she was high for pretty much the entire time.
she did express a similar interest in dance partners. and she misread gl and me.
overall, i'm happy having lld as a townlean.
