2. votes obvtown leek who had the most innocent entrance
3. references IC in her opening post to gain favor in confirmed townie

See, while you were busy pointing fingers at each other I drank both of your wine glasses. And some whiskey. And some vodka. And some cider. And some lager.

That's great actually because i don't drink, thanks for getting rid of those

Hello! I'm Nora, this is my first game on this site. I've previously played mafia on discord, but I imagine this will be quite different because of the phase lengths and the forum style posting. 7 days is a lot. o.O Where I play we have 24 or 48 hour days and we usually just hammer within a couple of hours haha.
I've been using the mafiascumwiki quite frequently so I thought it'd be neat to join a game here. Excited to play with you all!
We could hammer in the next couple hours if people weren't such cowards

Are all 7 days usually played out? I was assuming not
If you could hammer someone right now, who would it be? Leek?
Yeah no, generally we do 4-5 days before hammering someone since it's majority vote and not plurality, larger game can and do take a full week to finish day 1 tho
Did you not realize i was goofing around or what's the idea here?

uhhh, ok
yeah so kinda getting weird vibes from leek's overall posting? Kinda feels forced in the realm of wanting to push the game out of RVS while being extremely self-concsious, which is a mindset that more often comes from town than scum
also 43 Feels very much exagerrated in it's "oh yeah, i would be scum next game cause this one i'm totally town !"
am already voting leek but this can be for realsies now

indeed, leek could be a scum who wants to make a townslip or simply a towny who doesn't want to tell if they're bussing their teammates or not for the sake of their scum games
also, is pushing the game out of RVS as a first person a scummy thing to do? a scum, I would imagine, would like to chill in the RVS fluff!
Well, it's certainely not the argument i'm presenting here, i'm not accusing you of doing that in a vaccum, it just seems like you're grasping at anything you can find and going "yeah that's something to talk about"

still getting a feeling for willow's general personality so i'm not really agreeing with your conclusion of "He wouldn't defend me as scum", not actively disagreeing tho just like, i don't know how you manage to tell that about him with a grand total of 2 posts
i'd say your defense on him looks like a pocket as the logic is quite filmsy and newbies generally love getting TR'd

people take as much time as they need, expect day 1 to take 4-5 real life days
Yeah, Lynch, since like, it's related to some prett dramatic real and historic events, it's a bit out of taste to use it in the context of a forum talking game

why wouldnt we use all the time provided to us?
Bit of a sussy post here
isn't it more reasonable to assume NAS is saying that cause of the meta he's used to?
besides haven't really payed attention for micros but extremely large games have certainely skewed scumsided
You would notice that i corrected myself afterwards
Hm. Why do you think wanting to progress game but not being sure how is a scum trait?
we agree that town rarely wants to fabricate thoughts that they don't actually have right? At most they play up their reads for getting reactions and stuff
if they don't have anything, such as during RVS, they need to fish, which is extremely different from actually expressing a read
and, an easy way for scum to stumble is to try to express reads that don't actually have any substance behind them since "we're in RVS i need to push the game fowards that's what i would do"
Obviously they're aware of it so an easy way to do it is in the shape of jokes / undermine themselves / whatever, but them mindset stays here

if this is scum!bingle attempting to defend his partner it's a very shallow defense i gotta say that much, i read it more as him trying to read me by asking questions
also doing associatives at this point of the game is pretty bad, since it all collapses the moment someone flips in an unexpected way

Ok, talk to me about leek and Nora? I have one tr and it isn't either of them.
As I said, these are mostly intuitive reads. Just forcing people into an ordered list based on how I feel about their posts. The only 'real' argument I have for it is Notas's vote on Leek, which I read as opportunistic Mafia jumping on the bandwagon of a suspected Town player.
Also, if you allow me a guess, is your town read Gypyx?
what prompted you to make this guess if i'm like in the middle of your reads?

My reads at the time had "Leek, Nora, Gypyx", in this order. I wonder if Bella stoped at Nora because their town was next in line.
do you honestly think bella would obfuscate one of her reads like that? and if so what would be the point

i think this had the chance to be a very towny post from you but the lack of curiosity about the motivations was really what imo would distinguish between a newbtown who's having ideas that are a bit out there but is earnestly trying to figure out people and just like, you making an assumption that's a bit out there, which i'm viewing as NAI
Definitely an awkward entrance. Her push on NotAscum doesn't feel like a towny SRing, more like scum looking for a reason to vote.
I really would like to see more from her.
what's so akward about her entrance? she's being a bit extravagant but that's it

I actually wanted to pressure you for this post but I realized you're a confirmed townie
scum would be more enclined to scumread an IC post imo since everyone is an IC in their eyes
it's also just very a very blank post
plus the ":D" also sound tryhardish as i don't recall who put it, like he really wants to make sure this is light hearted

Accusing her of something he's doing himself, which is generally something that's very natural to do for scum (at least when i play it that's how i think, since people generally like to base the way they're hunting for scumplay around how they play scum)
What do you think of literally no one following up on your scumread of me and gypyx specifically ignoring it?
Do you think ‘creative’ reads/lines of thought are inherently scummy, towny, NAI, or need to be judged on a case by case? If the last, what do you think about this one and why?
Usually when my scumreads get ignored they are correct lol, and when my pushes gain traction it ends up flipping town >.> In a new environment where I know no one my pushes being ignored is probably NAI.
gypyx themself have seemed very townie to me though. They are being aggressive and to-the-point with their posts and there's this investigative tone to them, in a way that I find hard for wolves to replicate for fear of standing out too much. I don't think a wolf would want to invite others to sus them by being rude and forthright with everyone (
uhm not rude in a bad sense but like...how do I put it lol, their posts all sound slightly angry
In post 104, Nora. wrote:

that's a very naive thought to make
I don't like that you had this thought
scumreading me is fine, but pointing at partnership so early seems sus to me, especially based on such situation
I think you rather stay quiet/slight sus about your partner in a 2-scum game
...
well this might be my inexperience with long form forum mafia showing.
I usually start looking for connections early.
this made me laugh but also i gotta admit i'm not doing very good mentally so that probably explains the mildly angry at everything vibes you've picked up
Why are you folding to leeks's affirmation on how you should be playing the game?
please avoid using neutral pronous when referring to me also, thanks

I'd think scum would try to avoid doing the behavior they're scum reading people for. Is this wrong?
numbering those since it's gonna be a mess otherwise
1. It's already been asked, town would know better and just wait and see no? Scum meanwhile is in an eternal search for content as they have to manually generate it
2. Same point as 1 about content, "oh well i've noticed this so now i'm gonna post about it" besides is it *really* aggravating the IC if you immediatly walk it back in the same post
3. If scum were just able to not act scummy at the snap of a finger the game would kinda miss it's point now would it?
But as i've said i'll try to sleep on that reads and come back to it later
