Nah, I never pay attention to sigs. I've been a cop where I could send in a primary and a secondary option like 4 days before the deadline cause I was going on vacation. That's definitely a possibility.

I've been a backup the whole game, but it wouldn't come into play unless the primary role (i.e. CC.com) was killed. So basically up until CC.com died, I was more or less a VT.

Why should I have when our cop was still alive and possibly give away my role as a backup?

In my eyes, even if I died as an NK, that was one more night the cop got results. I did not receive any of the results that cc.com did. I started off brand spankin new.

This is quite the situation - Starbuck would've had to set this up from yesterday with the breadcrumb regarding Anon's alignment. However: there is likely a Godfather, since we have two investigation roles.

I want to lynch one of Amished and Raivann today... no sense in disbelieving Starbuck's claim IMO. My theory of scum leaving me and Starbuck alive so that I'll use my double vote on her (especially in lylo) fits now, they just got unlucky that she happened to be the backup cop.

Think about it:

12 players.

6 VTs
1 cop
1 backup cop
1 doublevoter

3 scum (goon + 2 unknown roles)

It's balanced because we don't know the other two scum roles. They could have a RB/Godfather, or any sort of combination. What I said is WIFOM - but there's certain times when you have to look at it like... the ONLY way I can be scum right now is if I'm the last scum standing. Which would make the setup a cop, a backup cop, and 8 VTs versus a doublevoter and a goon.

I think the second setup is far less balanced than the first. Do you not think Raivann is scum, Starbuck?
