I'm not even really reacting to Wicked, which is why I ignored his comment until he just kept posting about it.

I'm reacting to Deer, who pretends he's getting this great insight from the reactions and then doesn't say what it is. I'm not even saying what Deer is doing is scummy, I'm just saying it's not helpful.

If you get a read on somebody, you should post it, especially if it's a scum read.
So why did it take me specifically asking Deer twice to get him to say that he found me scummy because of my reaction?

What does interesting mean?
I mean, you seem like a real sweet guy deer, but I'm in a relationship right now, so I'm not looking for you to get to know me.

In this game we are trying to determine if each player is scum, town or some other thing.

"Interesting" is not a piece of information.

That you find my 'overeaction' scummy, is fine. It's incorrect. As is calling it an overeaction, but I'll get to that later. But you have every right to get a read on me.

But don't say "Interesting". People use that word to hide behind the fact that they aren't actually learning anything valuable.

Now, to defend myself against the charge of overreaction.

We were in RVS stage, ie, nothing was really happening. Then wicked posted his comment. I ignored it, as did most sensible people. So he attempted to get our attention again.
At this point in time I had three options.

1) Not post (anti-town)
2) Make some vague comment about somebody who double voted Jesus in RVS (who cares? 2 votes isn't a big deal, I often like to do it)
3) Post about the only non-RVS related statement that had been made.

I did so.

I made my statement (in line with his level of jokiness) which said that he could only know who was scum if he was scum.
He then voted for me and asked why I wasn't voting for him if I thought he was scum.
I explained that I didn't think he was scum

I think it's clear that I've been dismissive of his statement the whole time. But he kept going on and on about how he knew who was scum, so I decided to talk about it.

At which point did I jump on him?

Anyway, in summary, I have a null read on Wicked. He could be scum, or he could be town with this 'great' idea on how to play mind games with scum.

umm, IMO this would be the post in which you jumped on him, to me, with the short sentences and the spaces put in between your sentences just seem a little agitated, like you just got annoyed and jumped on him.

a) My statement is true. Nobody had done anything that wasn't RVS, with the possible exception of hiphop who made a valid and measured (ie he didn't rant about it) post noting Esurio had placed a second vote on Jesus. Therefore, I declare it impossible for town to know, in a normal set up, who is scum.
Therefore, only scum would know. So I've said nothing false.

b) My next line is a(n admittidly agressive) joke.

The way you can see I'm not serious about it is that there is no vote, no declaration of having found scum. Instead I ask him who his scum buddies are in response to him offering to tell us who the scum are. If he's scum, he's unlikely going to comply.

c) Let's look at the context. He posted twice about his supposed "knowledge" with me ignoring it. On the third time, I finally called him on it.

Okay, as many people seem to have misinterpreted it, I'll accept that maybe I should have been clearer.

If I think somebody is scum, I'll Vote, FOS or at the very least say "I think you are scummy because of this"
