How to get a mafia game going.
Plan A: Go after the dumb noob who makes a horrible, anti-town play and lynch him.
...crap, that's not going to work here.
Plan B: Start a wagon on a lurker.
Hmm. Don't really see anyone lurking yet. Closest is HH, but even he posted 48 hours ago.
Plan C. Quicklynch Gurgifor no reason because it's funnyusing top secret scumtells that I can't divulge at this time.
Yeah, let's go with that one.Confirm vote:Lord GurgiI want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

Ask yourselves a question... is it protown to lynch lurkers/flakes in a game with our replacement list?
I can see a townie entertaining and dismissing the idea, like Yos just did. I can see a townie using the idea as a basis for a random vote, like BBM did in #10. What strikes me as odd is a townie player (who is supposed be thinking critically about others' alignments) agreeing with BBM and voting behind him. Who did that?
Now, can we please stop all this silly random wagoning and get some more votes on chamber please? Thanks.chamber wrote:

Meh. It's always pro-town to pressure lurkers, to bring attention to them, to try to get them to post more often, and to prevent lurking from being a viable scum strategy. If someone was lurking, I'd certainly be voting them right now, and I'd keep that vote on them until they stopped lurking, until I had reason to think they were town, or until someone else did something scummier. And it takes quite a bit for someone active to be scummier then a lurker, in my book.Ythill wrote:Ask yourselves a question... is it protown to lynch lurkers/flakes in a game with our replacement list?

I mean, sure, on a personal level I'd love to have have PJ or Ether or Zorblag or Prozac or DGB, well, anyone on the replacement list join the game. I don't think that means we can afford to let lurkers get away with lurking in the hopes that they'll be replaced eventually by someone better.
Especially after the "lynch all lurkers" game I ran and how well the town did there, I tend to think that towns that have absolutely no tolerance for lurkers tend to win a lot more games.
(BTW; yes, I realize that's not the main point of your argument, you were mostly attacking Chamber for the "lynch IH before he flakes" wagon, which isn't actually a lurker wagon at all. I'm not going to comment on chamber's vote at the moment, because I want to see what his response is. I mostly just don't want to let any scum think they can get away with lurking and then use your "town shouldn't lynch lurkers" line here as a defense. )I want us to win just for Yos' inevitable rant alone. -CrashTextDummie-

Mine was also a random vote :/ . You clearly have no way of knowing this, but once sign ups were finalized and the game had yet to start lynching IH before he lurked became a running joke in scumchat.Taking a break from the site.-

That would explain why you were not thinking critically about BBM's vote. Why are you still voting him? Who can confirm the scumchat joke?

OK, I love Glork, but seriously, disagreeing with Yosarian2? That is like worse thing a person can do. I am pretty sure it is the unforgivable sin.IH wrote:So which is worse... Wagoning Glork or Disagreeing with Yos2?
The obvious wagon here is Gurgi.
Also, the wagon here is CTD. Trying to wagon Glork? Are you serious?
So Shanba, I salute you.Surfs up dude.-

This is terrible and not because you voted Ectomancer. You look like a drifter. All drifters aren't axe murderers, but most aren't up to anything good either.Ythill wrote:UNVOTE: chamber

Good enough for now.I have a degree in bullshit. I have patents on entire lines of bullshit. So don't sit here and feed me a line of bullshit and think that I'm not going to recognize it as one.

Not really feeling the CTD wagon if I'm honest. Ythill, you worried that you've got a serial lurker for a scumbuddy or something? I don't really buy your "let's not lynch lurkers because they'll be replaced by unbads" argument - as Yos says, it's pretty much always proper protown play to pressure lurkers into posting.
Since you've made a bit of a "thing" about how you had an actual reason to believe Chamber was scum which was subsequently taken away from you, one assumes you have a similar feeling about Ectomancer, hence your current vote. Am I correct or have you reverted back to voting arbitrarily?"Awesome Proton Pack, Flay!" - Petroleumjelly
