Two For Four

2 FBI Agents
1 CPR Doctor
8 Townies

2 Framer Goons
1 Rolestopper

Notes

- FBI Agents are searching for VTs. If they investigate each other, Goons, CPR Doctor or Goons Framing Non-Vanilla, it will turn up Negative. However, if the Goons frame a Vanilla while being investigated, it will turn up Positive. If they investigate a player who is dying during the Night, it will turn Null.
- CPR Doctor kills somebody whom aren't being attacked.
- Framer Goons can either Frame or Kill somebody. When investigated while framing a Vanilla, the results will turn Positive. When investigated while framing a non-Vanilla, results will turn Negative.
- Rolestopper can block the target and everyone else targeting the target. However, it can be used once every 2 Nights.

@Tragedy--by "positive" and "negative" results what do you mean? Positive = innocent or guilty?

FBI Agents are searching for TOWNIES. If they investigate Townies, the result turns "Positive", which means the person found out that that player is a townie.
If they investigate a Non-Townie, the result turns "Negative", which means the person isn't a Townie at all. :P
It may be Innocent or Guilty in a different perspective, in case there's only 1 FBI Agent as a Town PR left.
I blame you for this.

Did you screw up here? Because imo, Positive should be yes you found who you are looking for, and negative should be no.

Oh, I get it now, sorta. >.> Still somewhat confused.

But framing a townie gives the exact same result as not framing a townie.

Oh, so FBI agents are basically rolecops searching for VTs? I thought by townie you meant alignment.

Just throwing this out there for an idea, not sure what you guys will think of it.

x1 Cannibal (SK)
x1 FBI Agent
x1 Arsonist (SK)
x1 Firefighter
x1 Psychopath (SK)
x1 Psychiatrist
x? Vanilla Townie
x1-2 Jailkeeper

Bvoigt thinks there should be a mafia too (two actually), but I think more than 3 NKs would be too many. I'm still thinking of a balance for the VTs, just wondering if anybody would actually want to play a similar setup to this or if you have any ideas for balance, although I'm not sure if it'll work very well.
I'm back, sort of. Not a lot of free time to play, but I'm planning to be modding some mish mash and stuff this winter.

Eragon Mafia, a 17-Player Large Theme, will be coming to the large theme queue soon(ish) if all goes well. If you're interested, PM me to pre-in.

@Empking: Since FBI agents look for a Specific Role. :P But Cops search for alignments...
@wierd: I don't think that'll be balanced out easily. You should keep it with 1 Jailkeeper.. Too many Serial Killers; They're all going to kill each other.

Yes, but Psychiatrists turn SKs into pro-town roles. I believe Arsonist turns into a doctor, and the others turn into VTs. Or something similar.

No, firefighters are docs against arsonists, and FBI agents locate cannibals. You're right about the psychiatrist though, it DOES turn the psychopath into a VT. The main problem with the IDEA of that setup is that the roles have no way to know which SK they're targeting.

My point is that if you're the psychiatrist, how are you supposed to specifically find the psychopath? Or as the FF, how are you supposed to guess who the arsonist will kill?

Mist7676 wrote:If you are a doctor how are supposed to guess who the mafia will kill?
Easy. You look at players and see who the mafia would want to eliminate. But with the arsonist, it's different. The goal of an SK is for as many people to die each night as possible. So you kill people that most wouldn't kill. And when you have three people doing that, and only one that you can protect against, it's already hard to find a target that's going to be targeted at all, throwing in the fact that there's only a 1/3 chance of protecting against the right kill and there's no way of figuring who the arsonist in particular would be likely to kill, and there's little to no purpose for him even being there.

There also isn't much of a mafia element to the game for reasons Gandalf stated above.

Yeah, but we already have a role for FBI Agent. Call them Casting Director or something... (okay, maybe not).

Also, the positive/negative thing IS confusing. Can't you just say "Vanilla" or "Not Vanilla"?

Thought about this for a while.

2 x Mafia Accomplices
1 x Mafia Freelance Lynchee
1 x Cop
1 x Lyncher
8 x VT

*Mafia Accomplices: If one is investigated by the cop, the other will also be revealed as Mafia.
*Mafia Freelance: Is informed who the other mafia are and wins with them, but does not have access to the Mafia quicktopic and has his own, personal nightkill. If the rest of the mafia targets the same player as him, his role is made public.

I was planning on running this as my Mini Theme but I changed my mind. So here:

Elect-A-Cop

2 Mafia Goons

1 Gun Owner
6 Townies

Rather than lynching people the town instead elects a Cop.

XXX and YYY are the Mafia Goons. During the night you are able to talk to each other and as a group are able to perform one kill a night. You win when the town is no more or nothing can prevent the same.
You are the City's Only Hope. They scuttle around like ants voting for Cops while they allow the Mafia to go about their business. You refuse to allow this to stand. You have a one-shot NK protection along with a once-per-night kill. Unfortunately as the City's Only Hope is were to be killed the town would automatically lose. You win if the Mafia is destroyed.

You are a Vanilla Townie. Your only ability is to vote for Cops. Good Luck. You win if the mafia is destroyed.

Gun Owner = City's Only Hope?

Presumably the cop is elected each day?

Why can't Mafia just NK the cop each night?

It does sound interesting though.
Benmage: First, for the sake of irony. I'm going to illustrate how completely idiotic and hypocritical scumhunter is.
