An unexpected surprise

The sole missile streaked through the air, heading straight for

Chesstopia

, it's onboard computers lining it up perfectly. It soared straight towards the hospital. The biggest in the nation. It smashed into the building, it's momentum carrying it through two floors before...





































Nothing. No explosion. No fire. It was a dud. Bomb disposal teams have been called to the scene, and that area of the hospital has been evacuated. Nobody is sure where the missile came from.

The hospital sustained some damage, and 4 people died.

The war was taking a bad turn for

Fallen Angels

. The new army recruits were not getting nearly enough training before they were being shoved to the front line. They were dead as soon as they were drafted. Most of the Gatling turrets were gone now, and though the air force of

Astariel

did everything they could, they were hopelessly outmatched, and the borders ha almost been breached man times. It was only a matter of time... But troops on all sides were tiring. This was a war that would end badly for everyone.

For Chesstopia, ~2,100 died.
For Flying Kiwi, ~900 died.
For the Zimbabwean Republic, ~1,700 died.

For Fallen Angels, ~11,200 died. The border defences are in tatters, and almost no properly trained soldiers survive.
For Astariel, ~3,500 died.

But

Fallen Angels

had even more problems. The announcement that 200,000 citizens would be conscripted had the public rattled. Many were protesting in the streets. It was mostly peaceful, for now, but it could easily turn bad...

If you're going to contribute, see if you can get lucky and have some Uranium deposits. You still get the tech shared with you (under the same conditions, of course) but... I don't know.
