I do want to hear Ranmaru's response to all of this. He said he dropped hints and gave hints, and I saw one big one after re-reading (the "Trust me on this" line is when I was suspicious, but it made sense after his claim). The fact that he might have planned the lie all along without realizing

that Day Cop investigations probably couldn't be made in pre-game...is really why we shouldn't assume Ran is lying without the Mod's approval if we can get it.

Also, Ran saw what happened to the town when one person lied. Why would he risk doing it again?

Finally, I don't see a huge problem with Ran lying about being a cop (if he is lying). No, it's not because all liars are townie this game or anything. It's null to me, really. There are scum motivations with it, and there are town motivations with it. If you actually want me to list them, go ahead and ask.

PEdit: SensFan is right, Yank. Sens hasn't really spoken to Ran much except when he answered one of the multiple questions Ran threw out.

Also, SensFan, does Ran's claim affect your thoughts on his alignment?
