I woke up today and watched it again immediately. It's that good.

I want to rewatch it again and this time pay attention to
exactly
what dynamic is removed from the group when certain people leave. We already know what Jeff's is -- when the one that says "no" isn't there, the group actually gets along well. I would say Troy is probably the father figure of the group. When he leaves, Pierce gets shot, Britta sets the apartment on fire, etc. I would need to think about the rest.

We might... Megan Ganz said something about how this episode, by the end of the season, will be the one we look back at and go, "HOLY SHIT!". She called this a "pr-easter egg". So, some things from this episode will bleed into future ones, I'm just not sure WHAT. The weird feeling Abed got at the end when it flashed back to the primary reality kinda gave me the feeling the Evil Study Group might come after them.

Yeah, this was a solid episode, as evinced by the fact that the episode had no Chang and no Dean Pelton and I didn't miss either of them. (me not missing the Dean is a little surprising, since I think he's far and away the funniest supporting character the show has produced. Ian Duncan runs a close second, though, and I am worried that we haven't seen any John Oliver this season. Did he leave the show?)

My favorite gag is actually a very subtle one--I loved Shirley's apron. Totally fits her character. (Edit: And I guess if you know what I do for a living, you'd get why I thought it was hilarious.)

Also, this. But more because I want to see if an "evil" study group would create a "good" Pierce, since Pierce is kinda the group's villain.

Just rewatched. I love that when Pierce finally has his organic segue ("that guy sucks worse than an airplane bathroom") all Pierce does is lean back and chuckle to himself saying "airplane bathroom..."

also, in the two scenes where jeff eats pizza he eats it by picking the toppings off. which is weird.

It's weird, but I think it is fairly in character for Jeff. I seem to recall an episode or two in previous seasons where he is extremely particular about what he eats.

Holy shit.

Last week and this week were supposed to air in reverse order.

Last week, Shirley mentions Britta's marijuana lighter. She only found out about that in the reality where abed goes and gets the pizza...the one where everyone was fighting.

The show is taking place in that reality, not the happy one where Jeff gets the pizza.

Mind = blown.

Same here. I have watched a few episodes this season. I'm sad that I missed out on earlier seasons.

The evil troll was the best.

Also, I liked it how the old guy
always
got his airplane bathroom comment off. As well as Jeff always hitting the fan. I guess that's what made it for me. Somethings never changed no matter what, but the end results were completely different.

Paradigms was great. If I'm not counting the paintball episodes, I'd agree that Remedial Chaos Theory was the best they've done since the clipshow.

Paradigms, Chaos, and the Paintball episodes are my favourites. I also love Accounting for Lawyers, just for the chloroform bit. Also, Conspiracy Theories is awesome, too.

I wonder if they did ADR with the door where Annie and Britta say "did they say 304?" "no, they said 303. I wrote it down." Since the door number is supposed to refer to the episode number which was supposed to be 303 but ended up being 304.

Yeah, I caught that too... it's too blatant not to be a reference.
