Well I've had a skim through for my 2nd read and I'm pretty happy with my assessments with one exception:
SleepyKrew actually posted a lot more than I first thought, which is confirmed by the activity log but I really didn't notice a lot of them on my first read through. Not sure why this is? Low content/high volume posting? Maybe..-

because they end in two days? gosh, pay attention
something's interesting about jer's reads, can't quite put my finger on them but they seem like a mixture of annoying scummy reads and things that I notice a lot when I'm giving readsas town(not sure) like thisjerobbo wrote:SleepyKrew actually posted a lot [...] but I really didn't notice [...] on my first read through. But I'm pretty sure that these kind of things are noticed both by town and scum, moreover when I'm giving reads as scum I tend to rely a lot on recent posts as reasoning -- especially as a replacement -- because I can understand their context better. Additionally, my reads as scum are usually one liners and I tend to leave my conclusions open. I can see both of these in jerobbo's reads list so I'm going to stay with my current vote.
fatlikepig wrote:Okay, [J] NK is still really weird no matter how I look at it. From what I can tell, his scumlist was bascially FB/bvoigt/Amrun by the end of the day, and he was going to look at Quil/DJ on top of that. Also had SH as a null-scum read, and was also going to reread him today.
Since there was no other reason to kill him, I'm guessing that some of the scum felt threatened by him and decided to off him on the chance that they would be exposed. I feel like that's a reaction that's more likely to come from newbscum though.
Pfft. [J] is obviously a confusion kill.-

Wouldn't say I relied on recent posts for reasoning - I reference right through from post 117 through to 848. I was pretty thorough in my first read through.
As for one liners and leaving conclusions open - well it's my first game on this site but whenever I've replaced in to a game I will always read through then give a brief thought on each player before getting involved in the discussion. things would be different if I as in from the start but I feel a brief list of my thoughts after an initial read through is the best way to get involved.-

I meant "it's my first game on this site but whenever I've replaced in to a game [elsewhere]" - sorry for any confusion.
You're right on that count, but I actually only mention three specific posts, 117, 726 and 848 - quite a spread. The rest of my reasoning is from a feeling gathered over the entire thread not biased towards recent posts. In my opinion that wouldn't be scummy anyway, it's probably a natural thing to happen for a replacement.-

You're correct - noticed my mistake, trying to post too quickly as I'm at work.
As for previous play it's on a pay-forum (not specifically for Mafia but with a traditional-games subforum) so I'm afraid you'll have to take my word for it.
Unless you fancy getting your wallet out-

Fat basically said that he thought we had 2(?) mislynches in this game, so I find it hard to believe he has buddies who he talked to or he'd have a better grasp of the game. Something like that, at any rate I find it hard to believe it came from scum and even less likely it was an intentional 'townslip'.-

@^ So everyone is null then? Except TS who is town. And bviogt who is null-scum. That's not a great analysis.
Also does the dead being in green mean they were town? It wasn't explicitly said.

tbh, I think his reads list is quite genuine. I find it more townie at this stage to call a large number of players null as scum would try to make their reads as unoticable and generic as possible to blend in and stay safe. Jer's reads are neither generic or unoticable and I find that rather town in a small sense. I agree that a list of null reads is unhelpful and disappointing as well though.
My logic against the NS lynch was that scum wouldn't want to stick out as much and be as bold as he was. I think the same may be true here.1 Thessalonians 5:21: Test everything, but hold fast onto what is good

unusual thinking perhaps, but certainly serious.
I listen to my gut when it speaks to me. I thought I'd share it. No harm there?
Scum put more effort into making their reads look normal. Jerro clearly didn't. Scum have most to lose etc. Scum have to blend in etc.
it's the same thinking as the NS wagon
and I don't see how you can criticise my reads comapdré. I could be criticising quite a few of you right now and saying "i told you so" after you were all on that NS wagon (which flipped town) that I warned you against but I'm not1 Thessalonians 5:21: Test everything, but hold fast onto what is good
