Spoiler: For Those Who Don't Want To Watch
Name is Scumhunter. Detective Scumhunter. Best detective in the entire room. A while back I was sitting in my office pondering about dinner, when suddenly. The boss entered.
"Scumhunter I got a case for you."
"What is it Boss?"
"Well, there's a little town nearby where 9 people lived. One of em was just found dead, and considerin no tourists were in town, it had to be some of the other townsfolk. I think we're dealing with mafia."
"Sounds dangerous... I'm on it"
"Also, try to do this case quicker than last one. You spent two years on that robbery case."
"Look. That old lady may have escaped with that 99 cent chap stick. But justice will be served. She will brought down one day."
"Yeah sure. Just solve the case and get back to me when it's done."
"And with that, I had the case. Little did I know just how dangerous this case... would really be..."

Game Rules:
Stolen from Uite and modified a little.
General Gameplay:
In order for all players to play at least one game day this game will start with a Day phase. Communication outside the thread (if your role specifically allows it) is allowed until the game begins.
As a general rule you should aim for one post every 24 hours, minimum, to keep the game moving.
If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – please don't leave us hanging!
Prods of missing players will be issued after 72 hours of no activity during a given Day. Any player who fails to post in-thread within 48 hours of being prodded may be replaced.
A player who is eligible for a third prod is subject to possible replacement without further notice.
You may not quote private Moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind. Paraphrasing (for role claims, etc.) is acceptable.
There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings unless your role PM specifically allows it.
If someone contacts you outside the game you should report it to the game Mod IMMEDIATELY.
During the Day:
Each Day will have a strict one-week deadline.
A simple majority of all living players must agree on one person (via voting) for a Lynch to occur (simple majority = ½ # of living players +1, rounded down). If no one has a simple majority of votes at deadline the player with the most votes will be lynched. In the case of a tie, the player that reached the highest number of votes first is lynched.
Once a player has reached a simple majority of votes no further unvoting will change their fate.
Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; all players may continue to post.
Once you are dead (either via lynch or night kill) you may no longer post except for a brief “Bah!”-type post that contains NO game related information.
Votes should be bolded or they may not be counted (e.g. VOTE: Player).
Vote revocations should be bolded or they may not be counted (e.g. UNVOTE: Player or
Unvote
). Unvotes are not necessary before changing votes, but are appreciated.
Votes/Unvotes should be placed on a line all by themselves to make them easier for everyone to see.
Votes/Unvotes that reasonably follow the guidelines specified above, and are unambiguous with respect to player nicknames/abbreviations, will count.
During the Night:
The Night will have a strict 72-hour deadline. Extensions will not be given, unless a player has to be replaced during the Night.
In this setup, one of two things will occur night one. If a townie is lynched the first day, mafia must kill one of their own. If mafia is lynched the first day, mafia get to kill a townie, but it becomes white flag.
Roles with Night actions will not be able to submit an action on Night 0 (i.e. during the confirmation stage).
Miscellaneous:
Please bold all requests to the Mod so that they don’t get missed.
Green
text is reserved for the Mod.
No invisible/small/encrypted text is allowed (if you can't read it, don't post it).
You are not allowed to edit your posts, if you have the ability to do so.
If you have an issue/problem with the game, please PM the Mod privately. Do not post issues/complaints in the game thread.
The Mod may make mistakes - please point out any mistakes gently. Mistakes will be corrected where possible, but sometimes mistakes are made that cannot be reversed. These will stand as final to be commiserated over after the game.
Rules violations will be dealt with according to their severity, up to and including a Modkill, as the Mod sees fit. Modkills may be accompanied by a change to day/night and the offender’s role will be changed to Neutral Survivor, which guarantees a loss.
Any situation not explicitly covered above is subject to Mod discretion and will be handled as the Mod sees fit on a case-by-case basis.
The Golden Rule:
Please remember that this is a game and your main objective is to have fun! Be considerate of each other, don’t get personal, and enjoy the game. Playing to win does not preclude being considerate of each other!

Spoiler: Seemingly Unrelated Flavor
Scumhunter entered his office that morning and collapsed at his desk. He had recieved new info on the chap stick case and had been attempting to catch the culprit for the last week, but alas, they escaped again. Rather upset, Scumhunter lit his pipe and started to read the paper.
Suddenly, the phone rang.
Scumhunter picked it up. "Hello?"
It was his boss. "Ey, er, uh, Scumhunter. What's going on with that case in the village? The papers say two more people are dead. One of them by hanging, one of them shot."
Uh oh. He'd completely forgotten about that case.
"Oh, uh, yeah, I'm gettin info, making sure I understand the background, I should be invesigating it fully this week."
"Well you better hurry, if you wait any longer the whole town will probably be dead."
"I hear you boss, I'm on it."
Scumhunter sat back and read the paper. He'd solve the case later. He had to find out where that crazy old lady was hiding.
During the night,
Juls
was sleeping peacefully, when all of a sudden, she was shot! Now that this has occured, the town has decided to place cameras in everyone's room. This should prevent any further mafia kills during the night.
Juls, a Townie, has been killed during N1.
