And finally, There was some ambiguity somewhere about SE/IC conversion. I distinctly remember that there was something like, "After five games and three months onsite, you can register as an IC." and the alternative being, you just don't play in newbie games anymore. Even there, you could interpret it as, "You don't

to be an IC and play newbie games-- it's

voluntary

."

That said, Idk when that was changed last or when I read it last, I just remembered that, since I was at 5 games and 3 months, and I didn't want to be considered for an IC, I'd just avoid beginning Newbie games from the beginning.

Player Game Limits:

Newer Players

• Brand new players may only play in
  one
  Newbie Game.
  
• Brand new players may either play a game from scratch or replace into an existing game for your first game.
  
• Once you are out of your first game (by lynch, night kill, or the end of the game) you may sign up for a second game.
  
• Players with one finished game may also replace into as many games as you can handle.
  
• Taking on too many games at one time, getting overloaded, and replacing out of those games can get you banned from the Newbie Queue!

SEs

• When you finish your second game anywhere on this site, you are then considered a Semi-Experienced (SE) player and will occupy one of the SE playing spots.
  
  
• Replacing out of a game will count as a finished game if there was an acceptable level of participation.
  
• SE players may play in as many games as they can handle.

ICs

• A player that completes 5 games and has at least 3 months on-site
  may apply
  to be an Inexperience Challenged (IC) player.
  
• Send the ListMod a PM with links to your 5 most-recent completed games

  when you /in to IC
  .
  
• All Potential ICs MUST also read Being a good IC.

Ok, two things.

1. Where in either of the red sections above does it say anything about you MUST be an IC? The SE section specifically says that when you finish 2 games you're an SE. The IC section says "may" and the last time I looked "may" != "must"

2. You do know that a PM to the ListMod will clear up any and all questions of this nature, right?

The wording of those sections has read like that since I made the SE slot in early 2009.

/in to replace perferably, but I guess I can start fresh here too. I hope replacing is enough to qualify as a first game. I have experience from another site with time controls on normal games set to 72 hours per day phase/24 hours per night phase.

In Newbie games on MS, we use 3-week deadlines. Non-Newbie games tend to be similar, but can vary.

Nights tend to be 48-72 hours.

So, does the Newbie Queue really need ICs? .___. I thought it didn't, but I guess I'll check and see.
