I understand the concept, Quercitron, but it still seems a little forthright. Anyways, 'mostly random vote' time - chosen among the quiet ones.

Half the time, you get nothing from the quiet ones... the other half you get "Uh, sorry I haven't been on" messages... rarely do you get such a rounding countermessage. I feel honoured. *Grin*

Medicated Lain, after a single random vote wrote:aaahh! evil werebear.. i'm just an innocent townsperson!

vote:werebear

Anyone joining a mafia should have at least
read
a few mafias, and would know that the first day is MOSTLY random votes. Hopefully, they'd also know that what they did is called a OMGUS (oh my god you suck) vote, which means you're voting them merely because they voted you. They might have also learned that coming out with a role is something you do at specific times, like when you're about to be lynched, or if you're a cop and you have good information... not the first time someone votes you in a post. If any of these weren't known before, Medicated Lain knows them now, and will be a better mafia player next time.

Either that, or a guilty conscience is making Medicated Lain jumpy. *grin*

I'm tempted just to find out who's quietest and vote them. I have this feeling there's a bunch of townies squabbling amoung each other, and the mafia are sitting back, waiting to jump on any bandwagon that appears.

Mathcam was one of the first on the last bandwagons that nailed a mafia, and he didn't waver in his vote. This doesn't make him town for sure, but it does help ease my mind on his role a little.

(Attempting informative, as well as humourous.)

We already have a dead cop, and a dead laundry attendant (version 2). The chances of us having another cop or of getting our pants pressed in this town is probably down to nil. There might be another special role out there. Not "special" as in "special olympics". "special" as in "Save the town". One can hope they don't ride the short bus to school.

There is probably only one killing group. Nights 1 and 2 have been as regular as Gandhi on metamucil. Night 3 appears to have been the same, only someone was saved by a doc. No pattern displays any more kills per night than one.

We know the mafia group is down one. And probably annoyed at that. As there's one group, most likely there's 2 members left, possibly 3, but if there is three, then there's more out there on the town's side then one doc left, I would hope.

Cuban Smoker and mathcam were the two first to vote on the mafia bandwagon. Either could be mafia or town, but I did think it was funny that you assumed the doc saved you, cuban smoker. It might well be, but still... and I'll definitely assume mathcam just read the list wrong... I doubt he was trying to convince those of us left that there were three mafia dead.

Sugar, I've been in a few situations recently where either I have been lynched before I can say anything (amazing, isn't it? the lynch happened on a semi-cop's guess, and i was lynched within a few hours - and my town role was unkillable at night) or people have been lynched before they can talk. Read other games I'm in, and you'll see similar messages to the one concerning Beaudoin. I am more than willing to lynch people, even ones who haven't spoken, but I'm in no particular HURRY to.

Thanks for not killing me. I will gladly post my role...

I am a doctor with a limited number of saves. I was told I'm a "Doc Hex" with only 6 saves I can use throughout the game.

Night 1 I protected Sugar.
Night 2 I protected quercitron. (and was informed I could use more than one save a night)
Night 3 I protected mathcam - and that was the night of nokill.
Night 4 I splurged, as the number of townies was dwindling, and protected mathcam again, as well as cuban smoker - who I wasn't as sure of, but it couldn't hurt.

This leaves me with one left, so I don't mind posting my role, as the town gets two pieces of information out of it, first the name of someone who was actually protected the night of nokill, and knowledge of my role - now that it's mostly used.

Any questions?

Oh, yeah, one point for MatthewV in my book - he could have come up with some decisive argument about how suspicious I am and lynched me before I had a chance to talk, but he didn't.

Also, since there is only one killing group, about how many mafia do you think Jeep would have put in here?

ROFL, sorry, Cuban. About my bandwagon, I had given no indication to anyone of my role or innocence, so voting me WAS the logical thing to do. I think after lunch, I'll reread the whole thread, and see if it sheds any light on the matter. Cuban, MatthewV, Sugar, mikegoo... prepare to be analyzed.

This next bit is for Sugar.

I know I said I was goin to read the thread tonight, but I just spent 10 minutes wondering why mikegoo didn't post the first few days before I realized he was a replacement. My eyes are burning, I need sleep. Will try again tomorrow.

I just can't get cuban smoker as mafia out of my mind. Listing two innocents and a mafia in his suspicious list. Thanking the doc for saving him. however, he was one of the first to say he believed quercitron and mathcam as town. Gah, I need sleep. maybe I'll discover something tomorrow.

MattV - mathcam is innocent no matter how you look at things.

if mathcam is a mafia - I protected a mafia, noone protected Sugar, someone would have died..

if mathcam is a doc - I protected him, he protected Sugar. The mafia targeted either mathcam or Sugar... possibly mathcam because he was second on the mafia bandwagon, first if you count the name mix-up, which is why I protected him in the first place, I thought he WAS the first one on the mafia bandwagon.

if I were the mafia, then someone would have died unless there was a doc.. and that HAS to be mathcam.

Therefore, mathcam HAS to be a doc, and HAS to be innocent. There's no other choice for him. The rest of us, it's a different story.

cuban bothers me, because there are a few key points where he stuck up for a townie where he could have either kept silent, or reasonably argued the other way. I still am goign to read this thread again, but wanted to post this first - mathcam is our only proven innocent.

I protected mathcam last night, with my last protect. Why this happened... I don't know.

Guesses:
1) He protected himself, and anyone double protected ODs
2) My last protect was a killer protect (I was not told such, or I would not have used it)
3) Someone has some amazing ability that they haven't used until now that gets past docs.

I think 3 is pretty far out, but I will say of all the things I thought I'd see when this day started, this possibilty hadn't even entered my mind.

REMAINING:
Werebear
cuban smoker
mikegoo
Sugar

a few problems, Sugar, mikegoo-

Sugar - He would have told us about the ‘drugs’ when he claimed doc. There was no reason not to.
mikegoo - the problem with that theory is I protected him... now we're talking a role that kills doctors even if they're protected by other doctors.

Looking at voting records is not helping much. Nyar was hanged on three people - two of which were Cuban Smoker and Sugar. Either could have changed their vote at the last minute and hung mathcam. That leaves mikegoo as most suspicious.

HOWEVER – Beaudoin was hung with all three of you voting for him. This sure doesn’t help ME (or my case) any, but it might give some perspective.

Nyar’s Hanging -
Cuban Smoker wrote: Moving on: innocent people attack their accusers, while guilty people attack the evidence (or in this case, lack thereof). vote: Nyarlathotep.

Sugar wrote: Unvote: mathcam
Vote: Nyarlathotep

Beaudoin, mafia wrote: After reading through the thread, I wasn't completely convinced of mathcam's innocence, but Nyar did look more and more guilty to me. Vote: Nyarlathotep

and Nyarlathotep was hung, on the vote of a mafia.

Beaudoin’s Hanging –
Cuban Smoker wrote: I am unimpressed with mikegoo, but I say we whack Beaudoin. He's apparently lurking, and I've had bad feelings for quite sometime, given his limited posting.
unvote: mikegoo
vote: Beaudoin

mikegoo wrote: Ok...I'll go along with the Beaudoin idea. unvote: mathcam, vote: beaudoin

Sugar wrote: I'll cast the final vote. But here are some thoughts:
If Beaudoin is the bad guy we suspect him to be, wasn't Werebear more than a bit hesitant to lynch? But then, if Beaudoin is innocent... maybe we should have a closer look at those out for his blood (yes, I realize that includes me). I'm looking closer at MatthewV and mikegoo, based on their posts this game day.
Vote: Beaudoin

Sugar and I both said the same thing – we were going to wait for Beaudoin to post before hanging him, as we had time before the deadline. Of you three, I find mikegoo most suspicious.

There is 1 more mafia. If there's two more mafia, then we've already lost.
4 players left.
  • Nolynch, kill tonight (ONE, hopefully), 3 players left. 2 town, 1 mafia. winnable.
  • Lynch a town, kill tonight, 2 players left, 1 town, 1 mafia - mafia wins
  • Lynch a mafia, win right now.

I always hate nolynches, with a nolynch, the mafia might make two kills somehow, but would the town make a more informed lynch tomorrow with a no_lynch?

If you go back in my posts, I didn't realize that I could use more than one a night. I figured I'd use one a night and not save it in the beginning, because mini games might not get above six nights. Later I was informed I had the ability to use more than one a night. It's all there in the post when I told my choices.

Also, you'll note my reaction of surprise when cuban smoker said thanks for protection... I also didn't think there was another doc, and thought that was bravado to make him seem more important to the town. Of course I was wrong, but that's why I was surprised.

I really don't know what else to say, vote what your conscience tells you to.
