Alright. I've read through once to get a feel for things, but it's going to take a more thorough read and analysis. I would like to make a few comments/questions though.
1st: I have no explanation for my predecessor's lack of scum hunting and his lurking. As far as I can tell he was a lurking newb and there's really no defense for that.
2nd: Why was Lloyd allowed to drop a 4th out of 6 vote on page 1 and get away with it pretty much without question? His use of daykill was questioned, but not putting someone dangerously close to a lynch that early? I don't really care for the whole 'Scum wouldn't drop the final two votes' blah blah reasoning because it's WIFOM.
3rd: Why has Yosarian been declared practically innocent except for slight suspicions thrown by Lloyd? (This is the vibe I've gotten anyway) I don't really see much scummy by Yosarian, but the vibe is a bit strange. And if Yosarian is indeed as clean as he looks/has been treated, why has Lloyd cast suspicion there?
My apologies if there's answers to these questions and I just need to read more thoroughly but I know that you're all waiting for me to post something.... anything.
At this point I'm leaning towards Lloyd being scum that's managed to fly under the radar with his 'style'.
Ameliasay doesn't look too great either. She's pretty wishy washy and the entire, 'I'll let you know my suspicions' later rings major scum bells for me. Also noted that she defended Lloyd's behavior early on.
I think Bacde is either doing an incredible job as scum twisting things against the good guys or he is genuinely looking for scum. I'm pretty content to go with the latter for today.
Yosarian also looks pretty good, I am just skeptical of the 'cleared' vibe that surrounds him.
The Cesspit has been fairly contributive and analytical to the point of analyzing his own suspicions and retreating from them when he discovered they didn't add up. Looks pretty pro-town to me, although the same thing I said about Bacde could be applied here as well.
I'll go with a
vote: Lloyd
for now and give it a more thorough reading.
