Shirley being a part of the sabotage of Subway felt a bit out of character to me, even if they fixed it later by having her say "I don't want to be a part of this."
In addition, I felt Annie's outburst about Kim being a dude out of character as well. That made zero sense to me.
Also, Jeff forgetting Kim at the end was a bit silly. Like I get the joke, but I feel like it would have been just as effective if he had actually said "I'm just kidding" because then we'd feel like he actually grew this episode instead of somehow having crazy short term amnesia.
In general I felt like the characters were parodying themselves as opposed to being themselves.
The Troy and Abed plot is alright. I'm just wondering how long they're going to drag this plot out though. Without Troy and Abed doing crazy antics together, the show seems almost... dark.
Eh. Maybe I'm just over reacting.@thesupertriomusical on Instagram, come see it if you’re in LA area, I wrote it!-

I actually thought it made perfect sense--it was blatantly obvious that "Kim" is a proxy for Annie in this plot--when Annie is defending Kim, Annie is really thinking about herself, her lingering feelings for Jeff, and how Jeff moved on from her between S1 and S2. So, when Kim turns out to be a dude, Annie isn't left with that leg to stand on and lashes out.
Entirely unrelated: MOAR VICE DEAN LAYBOURNE PLEEZE.On hiatus from any new mafia commitments.

That makes sense I guess, I just don't even know if the Jeff/Annie thing is still going on. They've been kind have ignoring it, no?@thesupertriomusical on Instagram, come see it if you’re in LA area, I wrote it!-

I really enjoyed this weeks episode. I was slightly disappointed by the lack of actual blanket fortage and actually troy and abeds story in general (minus dean ladybourne) disappointed. Fortunately the Britta/Shirley/Pierce storyline was really good. Even if I don't see Shirley going that far with the plan (although I do see her wanting to take down Subway). The Jeff/Annie story was good as well, using Kim as a conduit for what Annie felt was a good way of telling the story.
That said even with the storylines progressing in some areas, I feel we're treading water a bit now. I want the kind of episode that I fell in love with towards the end of season 1. Hopefully the next episode will bring back some of the great memories I have of the first blanket fort episode. As Abed said in what was meant to be (I think) a cool meta reference, but in actuality sounded ridiculous and totally out of place... to be continued.Mostly retired. Unless you ask or it's something interesting.-

You need conflict to build better characters and storylines. If Troy and Abed never had spats they'd never discover what they want out of each other and grow.
Also agree not enough actual fort.Engineers accepted the word “planetary” in its epicyclic sense, but I was always conscious that it also meant “wandering,” “erratic.”
Compassion, Common Sense, and Context should always go together.-

I honestly think it was a weak episode... but then again, it was a 2-pt episode. Can't judge it completely yet.
Also saw an awesome idea today that S3 is building up to the "dark timeline" taking over the timeline we see. Notice the amount o' goatees popping up in recent episodes?green shirt thursdays-

This.
I especially love the opening scene with the Dean, which I missed the first time around. The part right before the opening credits is hilarious.
