Another long and exhausting day passed. Voices were growing hoarse and raspy as the sun moved steadily toward the horizon. Finally, as the first stars became visible and torches were lit around the square, Shadoweh was thrust onto the gallows. "No!" she screamed, as a noose was forced around her neck, "I am a cleric! I serve the gods of peace and order! You are making a mistake."

But as her body fell towards the ground, but not far enough, and life left her body, her neck went rigid. Her mouth opened and a small black cloud escaped and disappeared down into the earth. It seems she had made a deal and her masters were prompt in collecting. Evidence of such a dark contract easily labelled her as

Day2

Another dawn brings another day, and the townspeople trundle out of their homes and into the square, happy to be alive but fearful of what might have happened during the night.

And they are right be fearful.
Lord Mhork's body was quickly found in the townsquare, his throat slit. He, like MaguaofIllusion before him was clearly a noble and just man.
But worse than this was the body that was found in an alleyway shortly after. Greenknight was found strangled to death by his own holy symbol, a golden scales.

Greenknight was a cleric of all that was lawful and good, and now he has gone to his master.

Shadoweh's body still swings from the gallows, but one evil body is a little victory in the face of all this death.
