Shot – claim of dr. moves him to null. I still don’t like how aggressive he was against me when he wasn’t doing anything to answer my questions about him.

NOTE TO ANYONE: IF YOU ARE COP, AND SHOTTY ISNT, CLAIM NOW.

And 1/9 is confirmed town to whichever townie reading this, sans shotgun.

We want shotgun to survive the night. Not organizing the Faith healers to do this is inefficient. Besides, the faith healers' roles are pretty insignificant and they obstruct each other by operation.

The 50% chance of faith healer success means that a claimed faith healer AND cop will present a dilemma for the scum:


On one hand, they'd have a 50% chance of successfully preventing one more role from being confirmed, and killing the cop. However, selecting the cop as a NK target and failing thanks to a faith healer will both lose them a kill AND allow another role to be confirmed the next day.

Therefore, selecting cop as an NK target is still risky for them.

The existence of two poorly organized faith healers, however, decreases this risk for them and provides no viable alternative strategy. A lack of a claimed faith healer is actually reducing our chances of having a surviving cop tomorrow.


On the other hand, a claimed faith healer is not actually much of a loss to town.
Again, Having two active, disorganized faith healers is actually the setup's way of controlling the efficacy of the doctor. A faith healer claiming both removes this disorganization AND isn't much of a risk since we have an extra faith healer after that.


And, we'll have the opportunity for this wonderful strategy:
1. The claimed faith healer protects the cop.
2. The unclaimed faith healer protects the claimed faith healer.
3. The cop scans.

This will optimally increase the risk of a scum NK, regardless of their eventual choice. We'll have a better chance of a cop survival for two reasons:
1. There's a 50% chance a protect will fail.
2. The scum may be motivated by this risk to select a different target.

However, 2. will become an risky decision, itself, thanks to our second faith healer.




With this in mind, I'm going to

claim Faith Healer and elect to protect Shotgun tonight

. I'll need to make sure the other faith healer isn't dumb enough to not trust me tonight, of course, but I think I can handle myself. I'm confident that this is the best way to mindfuck the scum.

We already discussed why this idea sucks. If the claimed Faith Healer is scum (and you have a 3/5 chance of being so FMPOV), the Cop dies.
