Stage a mock trial with yams on one side and potatoes on the other, then discuss why the two differ, how their structures change, and what happens when you drop them from a cooked and uncooked state, then explain which of the four options you would use in a potato cannon.

Eh we were discussing how atoms were put together today. This is no regular bio class. I thought it would be a rehash of high school bio.
Engineers accepted the word “planetary” in its epicyclic sense, but I was always conscious that it also meant “wandering,” “erratic.”

love it.

The more I think about the subjects that I love learning about (all of them) I can see why I ended up with anthropology as my focus. It's split into four subdivisions, covering basically everything about how humanity happened/works, and so is basically for people who love to learn about the interwoven nature of reality.

I can't wait till my second summer session starts. I'm taking a critical thinking course for my last humanities credits. When we go around the class I figure the teacher might ask us why we wanted to take this course.

"I'm taking this course in order to play mafia better. Oh and also so I can graduate."

Anthropology sux. You want to learn about humanity? Study human nature. Study psychology.

(Or cognitive science.)

Just because anthro isn't your preferred specialty doesn't mean it sucks. I love learning, and seeing how every subject out there interplays with all the other ones. Every time I have a class (in anything) I am just struck down by how amazing this world we live in is.

I've chosen to study everything, through a filter of anthropology.

I just want to live off the grid and save the world, while learning as much about it as I can because it's fascinating. *shrug*

Thank you Anthropology, for bringing me misery and pain...

Did you hear the news? Today is the birthday of Sudolphus Demen Bunansa Nymlocus! Hooray!
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.
