Let me get this straight: I leave the Primate wagon because it's BAD FOR THE TOWN and I'm scum. Yosarian leaves the wagon (I'll leave him to explain himself, which I think he did), and it's all good.Fritzler wrote:

I'm not sure, but I think people found this scummy because I was voted in an earlier post. It was one vote. One. As hard as it is to believe, I'm not stupid; I did not unvote Primate because I was voted. I'm not the only one who voted Primate. I am one of the few who actually admitied to blatant bandwagoning, though.Yosarian2 wrote:The main reason people suspect you, B Rob, is not because of when you left the Primate wagon, it's because of when you joined the Primate wagon.

On second thought, I think I got you confused with someone else. You voted me for being a self acknowledged bandwagoner. That's not a very good reason, considering the number of reasonless votes on Primate. I actually stated my reason, and many did not.Axelrod wrote:What are you talking about? You didn't unvote until after several people criticized you. But you appear to be claiming that you didn't unvote because you were criticized. You unvoted strictly because your vote made no sense to begin with. Is that right?ShowPeace is a lie, there is only passion.

Is this a taboo subject for some reason? The answer reveals information, pure and simple. I've haven't played with anyone here. Ever. And I haven't read enough games to have a lot of information on playstyles.Glork wrote:
Agreed wholeheartedly.Axelrod wrote:B Rob isn't looking any better asking that question though.
Players that are described as having street cred should have more experience and be better players. When a player describes who they think think has more experience and are better at mafia, they are implying that those players can be trusted.
I find any atempt to close discussion on a topic as scummy. This game is ultimately a game of decisions. We need information to make good decisions, and we get information through discussion.
Axelrod and Glork have been the most vocal about disliking my question, yet neither of them is willing to explain what they don't like aobut it. Mariata continues to support my lynch but doesn't reveal any other information. I find all three of them scummy for trying to put a lid on discussion without explaining their reasons.
On the other hand, that's been their style through the game so far, so I won't vote on this just yet.ShowPeace is a lie, there is only passion.

Maybe I should clarify: I'm asking who is considered good/experienced in this game. That would help me make better decisions because I would look at a more experienced player's playstyle before I accuse them. Plus, knowing who thinks what about particular players could be useful information later on.
I would agree completely. Therefore, we must examine more experienced players more closely. That's why I asked the question.Mariyta wrote:There are several people I would say have "street cred", but it doesn't mean I'd trust them. #1, I think it's unfortunate when anyone who actually plays some in a game is replaced. That's a player who has to get into the game, so they won't be posting for a while. That's content that we've basically lost. Plus, replacements have advantages, IMO, and I still read bluemonick's lack of content as a scum indicator.Yosarian2 wrote:
Why is that unfortunate? Do you think bluemonick's replacement is less likely to destract attention away from you? Or are you sad your scumbuddy is leaving?B Rob wrote:

Because, no offense to bluemonick intended, but if he's in too many games at the moment to be able to post much real content in this one (or in any of them, from what I've seen), it probably helps the town if we get a more active replacement to take over his role. However, it would quite possibly hurt you personally, if he gets replaced by someone who can defend himself better then bluemonick can, as bluemonick is the second biggest bandwagon after you at the moment I believe.
#2, most of the arguments posed against me have been "Why did you blah? Because blah blah blah?" I don't buy these long extrapolations. I've been repeatedly accused of setting up plays that I don't have the skill or balls for. I try to point out scummy behavior, or shove my foot in my mouth, but that's it.
#3, what exactly are you trying to say in this bolded part? I'm not being very aggressive towards bluemonick. I don't have to depend on his wagon. I might be wrong, but I honestly don't think there are enough people who think I'm scummy enough to lynch me.
Yup. I'm that transparent.~deathsquiggle~ wrote:

But I do think those two are scummy enough to warrant votes. Well, bluemonick is being replaced, so Stevie's my top suspect now. He rarely defends himself, if that means anything to anybody. After rereading, I can't account for my Primate wagon related behavior at all. The best I can say is that this was a result of bad thinking combined with no clue about who was scum.
I think we learned something here, though. I think the people that went after me the most are more likely town because nobody distorted what I said. Those that didn't participate are more likely to be scum because it was so easy to attack me at the time that they didn't have to.
This post spawned all the "street cred" business. I still think that players that are considered experienced will probably get away with more than greener players. I stand behind that opinion.StevieT92 wrote:

If I could figure out theVOTE COUNTI might even put a vote on B rob.
Turning the town to debating a useless and confusing topic is a great way to get people voting for things other than the fact they believe someone is scum.
I hope that helps Yosarian2
?Romanus wrote:B rob, those are very good points, I don't like bluemonick either. So,
UNVOTE; VOTE: Bluemonick
I thought you were defending B Rob, and then you quickly clarified your statement, said you didn't trust B Rob, and said you might actually vote him once you saw a vote count. However, you never did vote for him, never even mentioned him again, and in fact actually followed him in voting bluemonick only 5 days later.
I'm starting to suspect that b rob and romanus might be scum partners; when i accused romanus of defending b rob, he suddenly turned around and attacked him, in kind of a half-harted way, but it was a short one-shot thing he never went back to or followed up with a vote. Between the two of them, I think romanus is the more suspicious at the moment, so I'm going tounvotevote:romanus

It just seems convinient that two of your top suspects are linked in your mind. I am, of course, going to deny that such a link exists.

Although that might be the case, that's not your stated reason for today's vote. It seems like you are valuing Yos's judgement over your own. Townies think for themselves.spectrumvoid wrote:I don't get why people suspect her either, anyone care to explain? To prevent distortion and confusion, let's look at his most recent post:
He suggests that I should be lynched "... becauseAxelrod wrote:I'm voting Lordy because that's where I was yesterday and nothing has happened to change my opinion. Including him not posting. But part of me says B Rob ought to be lynched because he was the lynch presumptive before Coron was mod-killed. Lynching B Rob puts us back where we should have been.
But I'm not voting him because he's at least posting.was the lynch presumptive before Coron was mod-killed." I think he would be voting for me if he wasn't voting Lordy before Coron was killed. That, and he was very bloodthirsty towards me yesterday. I'm not saying this is scummy, I'm just saying that he's pushing harder then Mariyta.

I have already addressed 1, 2, and 3. If you want to lynch me over those issues, there really isn't much more I can do about it. 4 is WIFOM. 5 is just a rehashing of what you already said. I have already pointed out how 6 is BS.spectrumvoid wrote:My reasons:
1) lurking. he claimed he followed the game, but didn't participate. Also he was under some heat.
2) wagoned on primate. he knew he was bandwagoning. and his quick departure of the bandwagon.
3) also refer to primate's post 172. Glork's post 193 about street cred.
4) my old post: only concede you made silly mistakes after someone pointed them out. If no one picked it up... would you have used what you said earlier to continue to confuse us?
5) Even if I disregard the lurking, B Rob himself has admitted that his actions with regards to primate were weird.
6) What I said wrt Yos2.
I went back to do a reread. I'm currently also looking at Romanus and lordy.
