Also, I'm not sure it is the blaze farm that is causing the lag: since it is in the nether, I think its chunks are kept unloaded most of the time. Anyway if people go AFK near the blaze farm, please be nice enough to not do it for long periods.

Indeed. Was it poison or slowness? I can't remember which one I put in. Poison could be useful against multiple mobs, but slowness is just silly.
