If you want a video game, try Magic the Gathering: Battlegrounds for the Xbox or PC.

That said, opening boxes is fuuuuuun.
I may also suggest just buying a fatpack or two of DKA, since the set isn't that strong and there'll be a ton of repeats if you buy a box since it's a very small set. Plus it'll give you guys some lands (which I know are easily obtainable regardless) and deck boxes/spindowns which could be useful. You can also skip buying a DKA box altogether and grab a 2013 core box in about two weeks or so, since it'll run you about the same price (plus shiny promo at participating LGS-es!). Or both, if you have the cash to drop on 4 boxes/3 and fatpacks.
If you're going to order singles, ebay is an awful choice. Using something like tcgplayer.com to order sets of the cards you want is cheaper, and easier to get multiples at once.
Related to this, I've ordered a bunch of commons to make 3d life counters like this: http://imgur.com/a/qeTyd
I'm using Angel's tomb, and Moonscarred Werewolf for my ones. Been practicing on tokens right now, and they're turning out well. Will post pictures when I'm done.-

yeah that's what I meant.
Do the cards cost the same prices pretty much?(I'd imagine not since it's digital and there are unlimited amounts of each card).-

all the cards in the economy come from people opening digital packs, so there arent really "unlimited copies" per se. Though, you are right that prices are generally lower on mtgo then in real life for the simple fact that people always have every card they open sorted for them. No one ever loses anything. This is especially true for commons uncommons which are essentially worth dirt on mtgo.tout comprendre c'est tout pardonner-

So, I'm kinda looking forward to Exalted stuff. I'm always a fan of grindy control decks, even if I'm not the best pilot. Moorland Haunt, Midnight Haunting, Lingering Souls, and Timely Reinforcements to stall out, and then Sublime Archangel to finish with the weenies... Good times. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.-

On that note, is there a best place online to buy singles from one source (so that there isn't the need for so many different shipments to get started)?"I value knowledge, logic, and deceit. I've had no problems with Troll And Toad, but their prices can be high on some cards. I hear ChannelFireball and Amazon are okay.If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?

I like the idea of tcg player, but if I'm going to buy hundreds of cards in a fell swoop, I'm either going to take a loss combining shipping on a more expensive store that has everything, or get every card as cheap as possible and losing on a ton of shipping. I don't see where (in the case that I need playsets of EVERYTHING) eBay doesn't win @ $28 + free shipping to grab INN or DKA or AVR commons/uncommons x4 all at once."I value knowledge, logic, and deceit. Use TCG's optimizer. It compares the cards you want with every store in the database, and then converts it to give you the lowest possible cost (including shipping). Plus, many of the stores give free shipping on orders over 75$.Large Theme List Mod Emeritus
