I agree. I don't see anything positive coming out of a massclaim. I'd say, just lynch the most scummy looking player no matter who his/her lover is. Too bad if a great town player is lynched in the process.

I think it's a bit early and a bit illogical to mass claim at this point. All the mafia have to do is claim lover with one of their scumbuddies, and unless their play is Really scummy we would not be the wiser unless we ended up lynching one of them. I agree with this sentiment as well. There are other benefits to holding back on mass claiming as well, which I'll delve more into

player isn't always scum. I have seen some really bad players in my short carreer as mafia player. But no idea about this player list, only a few familiar names and I have the memory of a goldfish :p

Argula, I believe I have seen her on sometime between Slandaaar's question and my vote. In either case, it's called pressure.

I for one would like to know Slandaaar's reasons behind putting someone at 2 votes so early in the game. It sounds hypocritical of me now since I have put the second vote on someone, but we need to get some form of discussion going.

I feel claiming early gives an advantage to scum, as it allows them to get fake lover claims out into the open, forcing them to be more aware and focused on keeping fake claims up during the day. I also feel it may skew our perceptions of individual players alignment during the game play itself if we know lover pairs right off the back, especially if one lover seems very scummy or townie - we may rationalize the other is townie/scummy too without any good basis for this conclusion. I like the idea of waiting, at least until towards late D1 so that when we claim we can more thoroughly analyse vote counts, partner interaction, etc. but I like the idea of doing this

before

a lynch as we only have one mislynch to work with. I'd rather have more information before the lynch than after.

That's why I'm opposed to a massclaim, even before a lynch. Some of us

get influenced by it and unvote if the lynch target claims to be linked with a strong

looking

town player. Fake or not. I think we have to keep it simple, analyse everything and use some gut too. Partners interactions can be faked too, or even avoided.

tbh I'm bored, and I can't think of any thing I can use to boost activity and get reactions to get reads from. I'm pretty much "Ask questions as I need to, get answers" I mean I could ask the "What Timezone are you in?" question so I have a basic idea of when people will be posting so I'm not as bored but I'm not really one for Reaction fishing or the like.
