Open 431 - Sword Swallowing - Game Over

Following your pattern of not wanting to spend a lot of time figuring who's going to perform, and partly due to his own enthusiasm, you quickly decide that Siveure DtTrikyp should perform today. That agreed on, you return to your rooms to await tonight's performance, ignoring as best you can the odors coming from Scigatt's room. (Sorry about that. I really thought the manager said that was fixed, but sometimes he doesn't keep me in the loop.)

Evening comes, as it is wont to do, and after a hearty dinner you watch as Siveure DtTrikyp pulls out a serrated sword from its elegantly carved scabbard. Assuming the traditional position <mod reminder: insert Animal House youtube link here> he expertly inserts the oh-so-sharp knife into his mouth, then with one -- quick -- thrust! He shoves it in, so you can only see the tip of the pommel.

Then he juggles. I don't know why he does that, that wasn't on the program, but there you go.

( That line was written before this thread started. No, seriously. Why would I make up something like that?)

Finally, he withdraws the sword with a flourish. You all go back to your rooms, wondering again (but not too hard) what that smell is in Scigatt's room.

Siveure DtTrikyp was lynched. He was a

So when that one fails to show up for breakfast, you predict what will happen: The investigators will come in, say something non-sensical, and tell you that they found the body of

, killed the same was as Thomas and saulres. You'll weep anew at the news of saulres' death. The cops will say something unintelligible and leave.

Then the hotel manager will come in and tell you that he's relieved that the people who have been killed have at least fulfilled their parts of the contract, so you're not collectively defaulting on your contract.

Then you'll sit around for a very short period of time and choose someone else to perform.

If you're so against a quickhammer, then why did you put him at L-1 in the first place? And then with the first post of day 2 attempt to start a wagon based on the hammer vote? This strikes me as scum setting up a townie hammer that could then be pushed as a "quickhammers are scummy" wagon the next day.

No it doesn't. It seems like an attempt to push a null tell as a town tell. This is enough to decide between TheShadow and Siveure DtTrikyp for now.

How does it seem like a null tell? It Shadow was scum, he'd know who the nk was. Also is this really the best case you have for voting Shadow over Siv? What is your read on Siv?

TheShadow: Bad D1 hammer, bad justification of D1 hammer(post 112), avoiding questions(My questions on post 103, only a partial answer to Amrun's questions post 86). I'd be happy with lynching him right now, if we could agree to it.

splitfarvle: Very little to go on here, but I thought his towntell on TheShadow was bad.

Om of the Nom: I'm liking most of his play so far, but the sudden jump off of TheShadow's wagon on post does make me wonder.

Amrun/Xalxe: Nothing really scummy here. For future reference, though, when you replace into a game, unvote immediately.

P-edit: This seems to vindicate splitfarvle to a small degree, at least. I'd put him level with Om of the Nom now on my suspect list.
