In post 1123, Quagmire wrote:If Glork is scum, the longer we let him live, the more of a threat he becomes. A Glorkscum with 3-4 left in LYLO is a recipe for disaster. He also pushed for the massclaim D1, which I guess I was the only who thought was a scum-motivated move at the time. We'd really be in the hole if Psyche didn't get that guilty on singer.

My massclaim directly netted us one scum (nham saying "I claim") and indirectly caught us the other scum (singer's refusal to claim leading to the investigation on her). If I'm scum, I literally threw the game away on D1.

Anyway, reading this when I get home tonight. I promise. No matter what.

Or you were banking on getting townpoints from asking for a mass-claim and knew that at least one of your buddies was already "cleared".

Yep, WIFOM with
ZERO FUCKING CLUE
what the town power distribution is a great fucking play for scum to make less than ten pages into Day One of a game. *roll*

Protip: The more ridiculous and massive the WIFOM factor behind a hypothetical scum gambit is,
the less likely it is that it's an actual gambit
. I rarely
rarely
survive to endgame, so the idea that I'd call for a play which historically puts scums into an absolute panic D1 for the sake of "town cred" which evaporates the moment I get investigated, crosskilled, vigged by some idiot on a whim (has actually happened to me), roleblocked it tracked/watched to a dead person... That gambit falls through. There is not enough "town cred" in the world to make a play which is going to get half your scum team killed and not even guarantee that you'll be free of suspicion. Don't even fucking bring up WIFOM bullshit here because you know deep down inside that it doesn't really apply. There are not two equal choices here. One (don't force mass claim) is a good play for scum, and the other (force a mass claim) is literally ritualistic suicide for an entire scum team.

You seriously can't use nham as a defense here. Sorry.

Noone has correctly explained why exposing the entire town's power role structure has benefitted the town. As I said, Psyche's result on singer was a pretty lucky flip, otherwise we'd be in over our heads. How is it possible you're still defending the idea?

UNVOTE:
VOTE: MichelSableheart

This is just as acceptable, in retrospect.

I'm demotivated about this game in a manner that is really absurd. It makes no sense. I don't think it was the D1 massclaim, it's probably the low activity. Granted, that is also my fault, but... just sitting here, not motivated to go through what was already posted. We're still ahead, there's no reason I should feel this bleh about it--the last time I was so irked and demotivated about a game was Mini 1333, but the circumstances are not the same. :|

Question, redFF--what alignment do you prefer playing as?

@OGML: I'll be LA from the 15th to the 22nd.

It's limited access, not gone altogether. I'll have internet access at home, but I won't be home much because there are Places To Visit.

I'll check redFF's games once I get up. There's a pattern I'm looking for, let's see if it exists.

@KoC: What's your opinion on Rhinox' claim? You've been voting him for most of the day, but have never commented on something that in my opinion is a major towntell for him. I believe your vote would be better placed elsewhere, preferably on red.

@Hoopla: do you still believe a Scooby wagon is the way to go today? There are two significant bandwagons at the moment, and Scooby's not one of them.

@Glork: you promised us a reread a week ago, but it still hasn't arrived. Why do you believe I'm a better lynch then Red?

@Agar: your vote on me is better then one on Hoopla as it helps with the PoE, but I'm getting the impression you're choosing me because I defended Hoopla. Which would be pretty poor reasoning.

@Bella: any chance of you giving an explanation for your vote?
