Let's say that N is right that 2 minutes makes up the time for a red light. If you passed the red light and you got to the hospital, it'd still be around 2 minutes before they got you in care.

So there's two solutions at the end:

A) Take the risk, birth will probably be less painful with medication--might get hit by a car though or pulled over after you get to the hospital, which I'm also assuming is close

B) Pull over and call the hospital. I'm pretty sure an ambulance would get there at the same amount of time. The risk factor is gone however there's still a risk that the person will give birth painfully and incorrectly in the car which could cause disease.

In the end they have equal risk and circumstances.

How would pulling over and calling for an ambulance be quicker than waiting at a red light? Do you have any idea how longambulances take to respond? It's often at least half an hour before they can get to you.

Also I was under the impression that it was a normal human birth, and that my wife was not going to "explode" if i obeyed the law.

Though I guess if I assume it's my friend's pregnant wife (or the wife is my friend) then I'd probably wait at the lights since I'm too polite :P

Well N, life is full of surprises, people die sometimes.
This was actually not a test on what you guys would react to the question, but more a test to see what
you would react to what I would react to your answers.

PEDIT is preview edit, when you're making a post and someone posts just before you hit submit, you use a PEDIT to respond to that post by adding it on to the one you were about to post.
The way you describe N's 'technique' almost seems like you could build a case off that, so why is he still a townread?
