- When finished, PM me the coordinates and I will write them down for when I judge. Like I said above, the easier it is to get to, the easier it will be for me to judge. If you know my Minecraft play, I'm not very good at getting around.
- Starting on Monday the 29th, I will begin judging. I will judge on adherence to the theme of Halloween and fall and how you mix it with MafiaScum/Minecraft, creative use of supplies, and general aesthetic beauty. The three best displays will get prizes, as listed below:

First Place:
a Super Pumpkin Palooza Pack, filled with jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins, wheat, cookies, and (if released in time) pumpkin pie! Oh, and maybe a few diamonds Plus, a celebratory plaque to be placed in front of your abode.

Second Place:
a Pumpkin Palooza Pack, with some jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins, wheat, and maybe a pumpkin pie or two. Plus, a sign that says you got second place.

Third Place:
a few pumpkins and a jack-o-lantern, plus a sign that says you got third place.

A few tips and guidelines:

- Don't make it huge. from my really basic testing I did yesterday, you can only see about fifteen blocks wide, so I'm suggesting a 15x15x15 limit. Of course, you can build bigger, but I'd much prefer a display which I can get a view at least most of it without moving around too much.
- Design from all sides! In Minecraft, you have stuff approaching from you left and right, behind you and in front of you. Take into account all views. Of course, one side will probably be the prettiest, but that doesn't mean all the other sides have to be the ugliest.

What?

Race for Wool is a Minecraft competitive game-type originally created by Vechs, known for his Super Hostile series, in which two teams of four players compete to be the first to retrieve a certain number of different blocks of colored wool from a course, and place them on their “victory monument”. RFW courses are made up of two mirrored lanes, with void lane between them, and players are not allowed to leave or build outside their team’s lane at any time.

Courses are set up to encourage players to use bows and arrows, and TNT cannons to disrupt each other’s progress. A big part of the excitement around RFW matches is seeing teams take advantage of the huge range of creative gameplay options unique to Minecraft to achieve their goals in innovative ways.

How do I sign up?

Simply post in thread if you want in. If you have a friend who isn't a part of MS, they can play too. Just post their IGN here. Skype is not required, but some form of communication program

should

be used by all players of your team. Teams can determine what that will be when they are assigned.

So guys, on the subreddit r/ultrahardcore, a challenge by a server was issued to any servers that wanted to compete against them in a UHC battle. What is UHC? It is a game mode popularized by the Mindcrackers where the only way to regen health is by eating golden apples or health potions. I was checking here to see if we had any interest in competing against these guys. I know I would want to be included, and Xalxe may join up as well (haven't asked him, so I don't really know). I can answer any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. I would like to get MafiaScum represented here, but I need your help.

Personally, I'm against a full reset as I have spent a lot of time and effort into my island and still have a lot of work to do with it.. And I would love to keep Spawntown the same if we could, just cause its Spawntown and I love it.

I've been here for nearly 13 months and am in favor of a total reset at the redstone update or a partial reset now, i don't really see how 13 months is newer. I've been here *nearly* as long as our current map, and only a handful of those who are still active can claim longer than I.

I'm also one of the "richest" members of the server to boot.

I don't see why the redstone update is a reason for us to reset the map. If our redstone contraptions wont work anymore, we can just rebuild them to how they need to be with the update. The only regeneration that could make sense is the Nether, but that would probably be a pain as we all have our portals and rails and such running EVERYWHERE. I am all in favor of creating a new spawntown though. We can say you can have

of the spawntowns so we have room to expand and for new people to start from. (Also, is anyone finding the irony of the older people arguing about the future of new people?)

Seems like Dav, Mist, and Maestro are interested in doing this. You need 5 players. I am playing fr another team but am happy to help teach you guys the do's and dont's of UHC. I can also be an alternate. If you get 5 people together, you can scrimmage my team (The AnotehrCrafters) for a test run of your skills.

What did you have in mind for a hub?

My road/rail is more a trans-nether highway than a way to get directly to everyone's portals like a hub system. They can both work together I think?

Go for sandstone and netherbrick. Other possible blocks can be wool, quartz, stone brick (definitely use this over cobble), and maybe even some birch wood. Just some suggestions as I feel netherbrick and cobble aren't really all that good looking IMHO.

If we have found a nether fortress, we won't need any smelting, just lots of stone picks. Also, semi-related, I don't like the idea of scorching the landscape with above-ground rails. I feel that a Nether railway would be perfectly fine and there is no need for overworld rails. But thats my two cents worth. Also, more people need to make shops on Spawn Mountain.
