I don't like this voting block thing. It's needlessly schism-ing the community even more. Maruchan has said he doesn't plan on doing anything yet. I just want to state why I don't want to regen fully and why other people do. I think we've got all the information out of this that is necessary and more. Obviously we aren't changing at this update.

I will probably be more open to regeneration when, like Maestro said, there is a large change in the world regeneration, but I'll have to see what's happening first before I decide. This might be hypocritical, but what are planning to do with the new features the update will bring? Like yes I get there are solar panels and such but how do you plan to utilize these? I don't think there is any functioning redstone mechanics in my house so I'm wondering what y'all are so excited about.

This isn't true. I give you guys as much control as is possible without just OPing everyone. Ask those who have played on my past servers, the way i admin this is much more community-driven than my past ones where i just make decisions on my own.

I think i'll just make my modded server an FTB server. not enough people use it/too many have hard times accessing it.

Sure, Maruchan (and kinda myself if we ever get the CP access set up >_>) has the actual power to make changes, but I'd say it's pretty clear from his recent posts that he's giving the community a MASSIVE say in what happens.

Feed The Beast, an awesome modpack which is super-easy to download and get working. Even comes with it's own launcher and keeps everything completely separate from your Minecraft files, so it's basically impossible to fuck stuff up. Mods range from massive content additions like Mystcraft, Twilight Forest, and IndustrialCraft to nice convenince tools like Portal Gun and Iron Chests to little things like InvTweaks, Rei Minimap and Obsidian Pressure Plates.

Tl;dr it's pretty fucking amazing.

Never. Never ever ever. Its Tekkit, just a little bit not. If you like Minecraft, but want to learn about 300% more blocks/ores/mechanisms, then it is for you. If not, don't even touch it.

Some of the things in FTB are super intriguing but others are not. Like if I'm going to play with mods, I want to play with the mods I want to play with, aka SSP. If one got started up I might give it a chance though.
