Sorry for the DP, but Elleran, you say you need good excuses to find scum.

1. That was hardly a good excuse for voting Trollie.

2. I still don't get why you changed your mind on him. I realize this is still RVS, but why did you think Trollie was a better vote than q21(who has actually posted).

Elleran, you may have bested me in the maths argument, but a comment like this hints a certain mindset for which I am quite happy to leave my vote squarely where it is. Also, other people should vote Elleran.

This looks like your trying to get your foot out your mouth.

Well this escalated quickly.

So, we've got a prime number, which is intrinsically evil
And a person who's a vote jumper.

So far 1 good town read, no scum reads.

Care to elaborate? Or even say what you think of the situation? Or even make an RVS vote?

Yeah...I'm thinking Elleran is town - flipping votes is actually more of a town quality, usually. Although it's really too early to tell.
I don't do RVS. I policy vote lurkers, always. Anyone that isn't "in on the action" immediately draws my attention.
So I'll sit and observe from my tower of evil.

By defeating q21 in Mathia, I figured that I had proven my superiority over him. I needed to go find another rival so I decided to move towns by riding the trolly train.

Had Mr.Frog not shown me the that there was in fact a train available, I would have stayed here depressed with no one to best in Mathia.

On a more serious note, we're still in RVS and I'm trying to figure out how people are reacting.

Something in this posts smells a little. Flipping votes at this stage is null tell. Not participating while condemning those who don't participate is a little off. You've promised participation, if that isn't forthcoming I'll be coming back to this point. IGMEOY.

I didn't mean this early one. What I'm trying to say is that everyone should post at least once in the RVS stage just to give there opinions. There was no specific reason I wanted you post other than I chose to vote you first and that I think everyone should post to either give their opinion or vote.

On a more serious note, we're still in RVS and I'm trying to figure out how people are reacting.

I'm still trying to figure out whether your recent reactions are scummy or not. However it will be hard to tell much until more people have posted.

Bolded emphasis is mine.
Question: How serious do you believe people's opinions during RVS can be?

Anything can help drive the game out of RVS. The sooner the game gets out of RVS the better for town.

Like I said, I didn't want you to post specifically, I wanted everyone to post eventually, you just happened to be the first person I voted.

Also, I just happen to know that you are exceptionally good at playing scum from observing games with you in it.

I'm staying on Elleran for now, but I would also support a Joel wagon for stating his policy is to just go after lurkers. Seems like preferred strategy for scum if allowed to get away with it, as they don't have to risk slipping by participating in the actual goings on and being on record expressing an opinion for/against different trains based on substance.

Also, I don't consider us in RVS anymore.

Why am I asking so many questions?

WHO WAS PHONE?????

Vote: joels

I want a better explanation on the second line of 30.

P-Edit: Yeahhhhh, that is a weird line. I'll consider it.

If you start saying things without good reasons past RVS, people are on to you immediately. To gain credibility, everyone is looking for excuses to say things.

I think the word most people use for a sophisticated excuse is "reason".

To me the Elleran thing is due to his comment about excuses. Town should scum hunt, scum need to prepared with excuses for everthing they do. The comment seemed off, so I'm sitting happily on his wagon.

As for what I'm talking about in the quoted: Dannflor wants everyone to give their opinions in the RVS stage. Opinions in the RVS stage are inherent based on nothing of substance so I wondered why he's so interested in getting such opinions from everyone.

@ Elleran's last post: Excuse and reason are not the same thing. Excuse implies some sort of wrong doing that needs to be excused.

I disagree. Excuse might carry more of a negative connotation but it's more honest. Reason is overused replacement word for excuse.

Town also uses excuse often. I also disagree on this. If town wants to accuse someone, they still have to reinforce their accusation with strong evidence or at least some sort of a lead. So it'll be similar to: "I accuse XXX because of YYY." Saying: "I accuse XXX" and leaving it hanging will lead to counter-accusations and loss of credibility. You can call it 'excuse" or 'reason', it doesn't matter to me. They are both trying to support an argument.

Reason is logic. Excuse is a way to to try and attempt to attack someone using any old excuse they think up. That's they way I see it. The think that bothers me about you, is WHY would you want to jump onto Trollie? You were already attacking someone else, so why try and excuse yourself so you could vote Trollie?

PEDIT: The way I see it, the game is still in RVS until everyone (or almost everyone) has posted.
