to be frank the only part I had trouble with at first was the word "Queue" it should have its name changed because if people are just scanning forum titles, they might miss the bold words in the description that say "join games here, lolol"
Okay. That's one opinion. But if asking where to join games is a recurring problem, maybe renaming it to "Join Games Here" wouldn't be such a bad idea.
I don't mean "I can't show you where it is," because obviously I can. I mean "you lack reading comprehension and/or the desire to pay a tiny bit of attention." I can't fix that.
quadz08 is completely right. If someone isn't willing to spend 10 seconds (tops) looking around the front page for where to go, they probably aren't going to fare too well with following a mafia game.

The second was CooLDoG implying that this website doesn't do enough to help newbies. An opinion that is roundly disagreed with by everyone except you & poro.
It obviously is hard for noobs because almost every month we either have a thread in help or GD about it. A thread about basic stuff got to over 20 pages in GD, and every once in awhile it is bumped by someone new asking a question that has been answered multiple times already.
It obviously isn't that hard if there's only one thread every other month (and I think it's much lower than that). Telo's thread got to 20 pages because Telo needed an extraordinary amount of help just by herself.
I think you're just trolling again with another "Eff the System" complaint for the sake of complaining.
99% of newbies find the game queue just fine. Of the remaining 1%, 99% of those get their basic questions answered and move on. The remaining 1% of the 1% is the YamiChan's of the world.
actually I'm not trolling.
Just don't complain every time you get a PM or see another thread about how a noob can't find where to sign up for a game. Because something could be done.

Lol. No problem. I'll PM you everytime a newbie successfully signs up for their first newbie game.
Because I think your perception is totally out of whack.

Being newbies does not make them stupid. If they are here, they know to operate a mouse, how to click links, and how to read.
Step 1:
Step 2:
Step 3:
Step 4:
It's easy to navigate, and there are dozens of newbies who successfully navigate it every month, proving that yes, it is
easy
to do so. Stop acting like there is some crusade to be won here. The site is plenty user-friendly, and newbies who arrive here have enough literacy to understand how it works; in the
very rare
instances they happen to miss our organization system, they ask, get prompt responses and move on. There is no need for change.

But seriously, what is there to lose from making the site more noob friendly?
This is the Help! discussion forum. Of course we're taking you seriously here. Use the general discussion or the Speakeasy if you want to attention whore.
The site is plenty noob friendly. I've IC'ed and modded plenty of newbie games to help out. I even IC'ed Telo's first game and did my best not to lose my sanity. A quick look at your game history shows that you've never played a Newbie game on this site. If *you* feel that the site needs to be more noob-friendly, then *you* should take it upon yourself to help out instead of implying that others aren't.

You're a hero. I've actually grown kind of fond of your brand of helpful snark.
It really says something when CooLDoG is the one being entirely reasonable and Tierce, quadz and Kublai Khan are the ones being stupid and unhelpful. This thread is a walking, talking argument that MS is not newbie friendly enough. I really don't see how making things more accessible to people hurts the community. If we created a sticky thread, containing concise, clear explanations of how MS works and links to useful resources about learning how to play labelled something like "A Newbie Guide to MafiaScum", we'd be a better place. Also, if we lost the whole snarky, elitist douchebaggery from people who absolutely should know better.
