I'm taking it seriously because I see it as a cheeky gambit designed to confuse the town. And I would know, because it sounds like something I'd do as scum. Its a post that serves only one purpose: to draw the town into a spiral of "but scum would never."

By all means, explain the town reasoning behind that.

For the record the scum claim didn't make me instantly think he was scum. I also don't think Levi is as scummy as people are making him out to be. Orn's original point against him seemed to be somewhere between a minor contradiction and a simple misunderstanding.
