Fate is fun to troll. I clearly don't think that aggro is actually mindless to play. I do think that it is much less strategically interesting than control or combo. I think that is a truism.
In other news, this is what I'm sleeving up tomorrow:
3 Snapcaster Mage
1 borborgymos enraged
4 Urban Evolution
4 Sphinx's revelation
4 farseek
4 chromatic lantern
3 fog
3 Increasing ambition

1 nicol bolas, planeswalker
1 door to nothingness
1 negate
1 terminus
1 detention sphere
2 glacial fortess
2 hallowed fountain
1 watery grave
1 blood crypt
4 sunpetal grove
3 temple garden
4 breeding pool
1 godless shrine
1 overgrown tomb
1 woodland cemetary
4 hinterland harbor

If its less interesting to you thats fine, leave it that. Less complex is the words you should use though, because thats a truism. You can't say "this is my opinion on whats interesting, that's a truism." That's just trolling
Obviously a combo loving player looking at an aggro deck will think its...

I think the easiest thing to upgrade would be the lands, especially since I already have Hallowed Fountains, but I'm not sure how to go about incrementally upgrading the lands here. I also haveoneSnapcaster, but I'm not sure if it's worth it to run as a one-of in this deck (maybe cut an Augur of Bolas for it?). Any suggestions here would be good.green shirt thursdays-

Deck thinning is mathematically irrelevant. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.-

Maybe so.
Amass the Components is in there as a stand in for Sphinx's Revelation, really. I just don't feel like investing in them and Amass is 4CMC for a net gain of 2 cards. A similar Sphinx's Revelation cast would be 5 mana for 2 cards, but the extra mana gains you 2 life (which is kind of why I'm playing Healers).green shirt thursdays-

Not quite.
Off a single set of fetches you're looking at a 2-5% better chance of drawing a spell (rather then a land) and it goes up from there. However you're trading life and mana fixing ability for it so there's a trade off but if your deck can afford to bleed itself for 2-4 damage a game and it's mana base isn't extremely stretched then yes there is some advantages to deck thinning (ignoring the obvious ones of being able to shuffle).Routine day with a dirt cheap brush

What I mean is, fetches don't thin enough to be worthwhile, if all you're doing is thinning. Some decks really like the shuffle, and some decks need the fixing, so you run fetches for that reason, and get some thinning as a bonus. If you don't need either, I'd rather run Basics over Wilds, since not coming into play tapped is likely to be better than minor thinning. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. I've added 8 fetches to RDW before even when plated geo wasn't in it as the life lose was nearly irrelevant, the mana fixing was irrelevant and having a 4-8% better chance of drawing a spell over a land each turn in RDW is extremely nice. It's narrow sure but I woudn't disregard it however that was with true fetches which bypassed the CITP tapped clause. At no point is the deck thinning worth a tempo trade off so the guildgate vs evolving just comes down to how often in playtesting you have trouble hitting all three colours.Routine day with a dirt cheap brush

I have three Temple Gardens and a Breeding Pool you can use if I'm not running them (and the set of Sunpetals).
I think you want your manabase to be:
1x Alchemist's Refuge
4x Hallowed Fountain
3x Temple Garden
1x Breeding Pool
4x Glacial Fortress
4x Sunpetal Grove
1x Plains
4x Island
3x Forest
depending on what you put in, change the basics around.
Also with Farseeks you shouldn't need the Wilds too much.
Other suggestions for stuff to add to mainboard
- Resto Angel x2 (feel free to borrow mine)
- Angel of Serenity x2 (not sure if it's better than Drogskol though)
- Urban Evolution (I like this better than Amass in Bant, a 2/2 split might work assuming you don't drop the Amass completely for something else)
- Think Twice (another card draw option but idk what to cut for it)
- Jace, AoT (since you have two; card advantage!)
I like dropping a Drogskol/O-Ring for two Resto and the Amass for 2x Urban Evolution (or 1/1 split) and 2x Jace AoT. You can't cut your Augur/Healers really, Farseek ramps/fixes (maybe drop 1 if necessary?), Charms are needed MB as well and Dissipate is your only counterspell. O-Ring is good for targeting big threats if you miss a counter, and dealing with planeswalkers. Verdict can't be cut down because Blitz decks threaten lethal by T4 (e.g. Experiment One into BTE+Mauler swing 6, Haste Boar swing 9).
SB could look something like:
- Selesnya and Azorious Charms x1 each
- Rest in Peace x3?
- Terminus x3?
- Rhox Faithmender x2 (only if you keep Drogskol)
- Detention Sphere x3?
- insert two SB slots here (I like Negate)
And (speaking of perfect segways), Render Silent could prove interesting in this deck as well.If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?

If you've got fetches that don't require coming into play tapped, then sure. You're getting a minor benefit for almost no cost. The Zendikar/Onslaught fetches have the advantage of grabbing duals, in addition to not tapping the land, so they're basically free thinning if you don't care about the life. We're talking about the current fetch, though, and evolving wilds costs tempo instead of life, which is more valuable. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. best name?
I'm probably going to need master biomancers for trade fodder for Reckoners and my Gyre Sages for RunicThar.dec so don't get too attached to them, Reckoner...
