I wouldn't mind having you as a gun bearer though Syry saying he wants it for himself, but not wanting it for himself makes me think he's mafia. Then again, I always think he's mafia so maybe I'll talk to Messiah about him

Yeah that idea. Having the gun in the hands of someone with a good scumdar makes sense. How is SodaSpirit's scumdar?

I want the gun because I think being the gunbearer would be fun as hell. So by all means, shoot me. However, I like the idea of shooting either Mini or fery because I know both of them play highly competent games regardless of alignment. If they're scum, great, we nailed one. If they aren't, the gun is in good hands.

By the way, I didn't say I wanted it then don't want it. SHOOT MINIMAL SODA, THEY'RE MISREPPING ME

Pedit: Stop failing at non-hydra posting

Pedit2: That was a quick back-off by ineffective.

Pedit3: A VERY quick and apologetic back-off. Scumdar being pinged...

Interesting.

I'm probably going to take a shot pretty soon. More players are twiddling their thumbs than there is scum in the game, and we probably need a dead body to have any real grounds for scumhunting. Catlord is off-limits, I have a town read on him. My current shitlist is topped by these 3 individuals:
- Syryana
- fuzzybutternut
- jeremylu

I need imput from everyone on who you most want shot out of this list, with reasoning.
I think Syryana is the most likely town of the 3. Although he's goofed around, especially at the start, he's done some analysis, too.

jeremylu comes off pretty n00b. He's scumtelling pretty consistently though.

fuzzy is somewhere in between. I've liked a few of his posts.

If I had to choose one of these three to shoot, I'd be torn between jeremy and fuzzy. If either or both are scum, then it's good times. If jeremy's town, then I doubt that him having the gun would be a good idea. If town, I think fuzzy would do a better job of scumhunting and shooting.
---------------

Random observation and another request to everyone:
In post 18, Ineffective wrote:Even if you think you can shoot all three mafia on your lonesome, it doesnt justify asking for shooter to kill himself off and waste a misfire. Not a towny reaction imo
Ineffective gets the number of scum wrong. Please state whether this looks like a townslip to you.
Ineffective is an experienced player from what I know. It looks like a townslip, but I wouldn't put it past him to fake that. Seems like he's picked up a lot of townreads so far, though.

You've been uneasy about me since I called you on being scum from page 1. Don't try to color it up with this nonsense. You've been inventing different reasons to dislike me from the beginning.
In post 297, fferyllt wrote:I think Syryana is the most likely town of the 3. Although he's goofed around, especially at the start, he's done some analysis, too.
She doesn't want me to have the gun. If she believed what she was saying, she'd want me to have the gun because I'd likely know what to do with it. Minimal for example has shown what town should be thinking about me being shot:
In post 284, Minimal wrote:I like all three of those people as probable shooting suspects, however I think that Syry is the one of those three that should be shot at. Reason being, if he is in fact town, then I believe that he is the one who is most likely to end up making the right decision on who to shoot next.
See the difference?

Pedit: Hey Redpanda, let's be friends.
CTD constrained the problem such that I would not suggest shooting someone I think is town. I think I've said earlier in the thread that you having the gun would be good for town. But, minimizing town deaths means minimizing the number of times the gun changes hands.

Syryana, it's a strategy argument. I'm kinda simple-minded on strategy, but CTD's approach does make sense to me. So does yours. One of my strong town reads - you - is in his group of three. To fit CTD's strategy, you are not the player I'd suggest shooting.

Syryana is my strongest town read. Red Panda, Ineffective next. fuzzy was pretty high up there before posts 387 and 391.

Jeremy looks insanely scummy. Your slot was in my scumpile. We'll see if you can turn it around.

I gathered that much, but arguing about reads that aren't our strongest don't really matter right now. Jeremy is top shot preference, you don't want CTD to shoot Syryana, and you would rather not he shoot but don't really care if he shoots fuzzybutternut. Right?
fuzzy I think is higher than Rach, even with the two posts I pointed out.

I tried not to pick up single mentions. jeremylu, srand/Nacho (at times - srand's list kept changing and Nacho didn't have you in his shoot list), and Red Panda.

Looking at the list, probably nothing. I wasn't sure what I'd find rereading the thread. Jeremy still looks scummy. The reread reminded me why I had srand leaning scummy. I feel better about Nacho.

And, Red Panda has looked mostly town all along.

This is strange. Why is wanting the gun a towntell?
In post 297, fferyllt wrote:If I had to choose one of these three to shoot, I'd be torn between jeremy and fuzzy. If either or both are scum, then it's good times. If jeremy's town, then I doubt that him having the gun would be a good idea. If town, I think fuzzy would do a better job of scumhunting and shooting.
But, this is consistent in opinions that she's expressed so far. Doesn't necessarily say much, but consistency is nice.
In post 309, fferyllt wrote:On the third reread I think I see something that could be construed as a slip. I think.
This is a lot of doubt for no real reason. If you see a slip, then push it somehow. If you don't really see it, then you don't. This takes an awkward middle ground.
In post 419, fferyllt wrote:I'm holding back from replacing out. I didn't realize I wouldn't care much for this game format.
Blaming it on the game format is a really, really convenient excuse. But, if she actually were town, becoming the gunbearer would fix this problem almost immediately.

So, she's taken driveby potshots occasionally, but nothing more. She's given a Syr townread and vaguely supported a Rach shot, but nothing else. She's been entirely useless, but always around, and that's not ever a good sign. If she really hates the game format that much but appreciates the gunbearer role, again, still a good shot. At this point, I'm guessing she's probably scum and would probably shoot her if I had the gun.
getting shot would undoubtedly improve my interest level. I think your summary of my contributions is a little off.

I've been on jeremy since early on. I've been back and forth re fuzzy and on your slot prior to you replacing in. I put thought into CTD's strategy when he asked for input on which of Syryana, Fuzzy and jeremy to shoot, though I thought having Syryana in that list was pretty daft given his strategy.

But, I'm generally weaker on strategy and stronger on scumhunting. Minimal's thoughts about early avoidance of scummy looking players who might have poor aim if they are town concerns me. I'd want to shoot through players who look the most scummy, with some reality check/calibration of my scumdar with players I think are town.
