I'm bringing 4 scummers to your place of work plus myself

I think we can play vengefuls on your lunch break
The main thing is that I think they want me to work a double shift Tuesday night, and if that's the case I won't be getting off at 11 and driving to baltimore at 9am the following morning

See, I find just paying as you go a lot more convenient than having it totted up and needing to come back to it at the end. Means I can get up and go at a moment's notice etc.

While we're on the subject of CDB Learns About American Money, when using a credit card are you more likely to use a chip-and-pin machine (what I'm used to) or signature & ID?

Robbed of a scummy for what had to be the best unvote in mafiascum history.

Sometimes I get heated and don’t realize it. If I get like this please somebody tell me to take a break and chill out. Thanks in advance.

If it's at stores/gas stations/etc, probably a "chip and pin" machine. At restaurants and bars, signature and ID.

Chip and Pin is getting more common at bars, etc., but yeah, expect a signature if you've got somebody serving you.

So I'm probably going to buy a boardgame today or tomorrow, both to bring to the meet and to play with the Montreal posse. Off the top of my head, the store has Arkham Horror, Carcassonne, the BSG game, Game of Thrones, Dominion, Settlers of Catan, Agricola, Puerto Rico, Quarriors, Ticket to Ride, and 7 Wonders.

I'm dying to get Arkham Horror (because I've heard rave reviews, eldritch horrors are cool, and it can be played alone--I don't know enough non-Internet people who would find that kind of thing fun, so a single-player mode means I'm getting more value for it), but at least one person told me not to because of how complicated and unfriendly to casual gamers it is. Also, it's expensive.

Are people going to bring any of these to the meet? (I know people mentioned GoT, Dominion, and 7 Wonders.) Is there a game you'd really like to see? CES recommended St. Petersburg (although I'm not sure the game store has it). This also goes for DGB, dramonic, Bert, etc., who may get to play whatever I pick in Montreal.

I also have Quelf, but I find it gets old quickly, so I won't bring that unless someone is really looking forward to playing it.

Oh, also, is the Washington trip still happening? If it's before/after we're there, I might go only one way with DGB and take a train or bus the other way.

Arkham Horror is complicated as fuck, and it really can drag on - we played it at the UK Meet, and reckoned we'd be finished in a turn or two - nearly two hours later we were done.

It's fun, but really not good for non-board gamers

I own the base sets of quarriors puerto rico and dominion, I wouldn't suggest agricola or puerto rico for non gamers, they are very heavy games. I'm still a maybe to this but if I come I'm going to try and make room for race for the galaxy and my cube.
