I really don't see the pattern how Nacho play, even though I like to spectating his game. But, I think it was serious. Even though it tried to see other people's reaction, it still a read. Stubborn is how I play in mafia also.

His flip-flop perhaps because he replaced with 125++ pages. Indeed we need someone to trust to read more easily in that condition.
I think your question is meta things, not a WIFOM. Self-meta isn't going to help IMO, you need to know his meta. I always allow WIFOM around because I like them. You can see that in day 3, I and IaI discuss about the night kill, all of them are WIFOMs.
