[edit] if esurio is a maybe or isn't able to make this, I'm still /in (and truth be told it's also easier and cheaper if it was late January I GUESS). Feels weird not having a Reckoning New Years though.

1) December 29 - January 5: The obvious choice, as this is when the previous two Reckonings happened. It would allow us to all celebrate New Year's Eve together, have a traditional Southern New Year's Day meal (black eyed peas and collard greens, yum!), and allow everyone to celebrate my birthday, which always proves to be a fun night. The downside here is that these dates might make it hard for some people to take time off immediately after Christmas, though any students should still be out of school.

2) January 3 - January 11: If we can't swing it at the end of December, maybe doing it a little

after

New Year's would free up some people. I have a feeling this will be the least popular options, but at least we'd be able to celebrate my birthday still.

3) January 11 - January 19: This would be middle-of-the-month, and the ending date of this meet would also give people time off on Monday to fly back or travel home since that's MLK Day.

4) January 18 - January 26: The very last week in January, the most distant from New Year's, and MLK Day is on the 20th, so there'd be less time to need to take off from work.

I voted for all 4 dates because I can probably do any of them (i.e., so I vote in deference to people who seriously can't do one or more of them), but my PREFERENCE is probably for the "classic"/obvious time.

unfortunately I wont know my schedule for that time until around October. That being said, I am guessing the later dates would be worse for me because the spring theater season will be starting to boot up.
