Post rotation, RG loses Hellrider, Pillar, and Flinthoof Boar. However, Kalonian Tusker is a card, as is {Scavenging Ooze, Gore-House Chainwalker, Brushstrider}, Shock is coming back to replace Pillar, and the four drop spot already has a couple options(Ogre Battledriver is the biggest one, I imagine), this is not even including whatever Theros brings to the table. I guess it loses Lightning Mauler, too, but you probably shouldn't be playing that card anyway--Firefist Striker is much stronger.
Natirasha is just a vestige, it's Contessa now.

Shock probably isn't constructed playable. The 2 damage isn't why you played pillar.

Firefist striker is stronger in some scenarios, weaker in others. It's basically useless against decks like the aristocrats, for example. I don't know what should be in the main because I haven't tested it, but boldly asserting that one is just better than the other seems incorrect.

Shea's right about LM vs. Firefist

also Kalonian Tusker is pretty unplayable for the same reason strangleroot geist is in R/g...

Shock will be playable because of the cards around it, like Chandra's phoenix and young pyromancer.

Red decks are going to become a lot more synergy oriented post rotation, which is pretty dangerous and bad for an aggro deck imo. Its hard to know if it'll still be viable, especially with doom blade and plenty of shit to break
up
synergy based cards, but we'll just have to see

If you need to deal with Voice, use Turn//Burn instead. RUG Ramp seems like it'll be my next pet deck if Voice keeps climbing.

suggesting a 5 mana fuse card as an answer over pillar to the R/g player is al sorts of wrong I don't even know where to begin

Pie, You should be fine running Silverblade. I run 4 of in my Sele Aggro deck, I have pretty frequently gone. Turn 1: Pilgrim, Turn 2: Smiter, Turn 3: Pass (To Cast Wurm at then end of their turn) or Silverblade.

Also Thalia is a good card even with 12 spells. It severely slows down Control and most Mid range decks that run Farseek, While you're casting Big Beefy Creatures.

I was suggesting that Turn/Burn is a good answer to voice, not that you should put it in your current deck. (although if Voice is giving you as much trouble as it seems, you may want to adapt slightly)

So in the interest of being contrarian, I'm going to attempt a version of Infect in Pauper. I'm basing it off of the old list, and I also want test a Crop Rotation package for utility lands.

19 Forest
4 Glistener Elf
4 Blight Mamba
4 Ichorclaw Myr
2 Rot Wolf
3 Llanowar Augur

4 Mutagenic Growth
4 Groundswell
4 Rancor
4 Vines of Vastwood
3 Phytoburst
3 Predator's Strike
2 Gitaxian Probe

Also, the Crop Rotation would be -3 Phytoburst, -1 Predator's Strike, +4 Crop Rotation, and then this land package
16 Forest
1 Soaring Seacliff
1 Teetering Peaks
1 Sejiri Steppe

Preliminary test results are positive. Played 6 games in Just For Fun, then 4 in Tourney Practice. Won a total of 7, 3 in TP, 4 in JfF. So far, FissurePost was an easy matchup when they didn't nutdraw me, and mono-B Rats would have been close if he didn't keep committing removal to my Blight Mambas when I had mana open.

To be fair, the dealers were buying at 35 at the PTQ I was at a week or so ago. That suggests to me that they expect a price jump to at least 60. This set is just getting cracked way way too little. Thundermaw hellkite wasn't a 50$ card because it was played in everything, it was a $50 card because m13 wasn't cracked enough.

When in doubt look to the Japanese:

Kouichi Tashiro
8th Place - Japan - Hyogo-ken - 5/11

9 Forest
5 Plains
4 Sunpetal Grove
4 Temple Garden
22 lands

3 Arbor Elf
4 Avacyn's Pilgrim
4 Loxodon Smiter
4 Silverblade Paladin
4 Strangleroot Geist
3 Sublime Archangel
4 Voice of Resurgence
4 Wolfir Silverheart
30 creatures

4 Advent of the Wurm
4 Rancor
8 other spells

Sideboard
3 Garruk, Primal Hunter
2 Plummet
3 Ray of Revelation
3 Rest in Peace
1 Trostani, Selesnya's Voice
3 Unflinching Courage

Still no good replacement for Voices but I'd probably just throw fencing ace in there for lulz and go to town (or just keep your experiment 1s)

voice hasn't given me that much trouble and adapting the MB of an aggro deck to deal with one card is kinda meh. I could MB pillars if I really hated the card enough, but I don't.

Looks like Junk Aristrocrats is indeed the new "thing".

*sigh* Why is everything so goddamned expensive? Also, I really wish I could find a store that would start supporting both Block Constructed & Pauper formats more regularly.

Tend to enjoy the constraints of Block Constructed more than Standard since I think tighter guidelines forces more creativity, and Pauper is just cheap.

If you want to see a variant format survive locally, you are probably going to have to own it. Find a store that has a night thats not already occupied, declare it pauper night yourself, advertise on local facebook magic groups etc, have a bunch of decks for people to use if they show up, to get them interested in the format. Keep this up an hope the community around it grows.
