Haven't posted in a while, hope that I will be able to post more frequenly this week. Currently my reads stand with town on everyone except:
Lucky, who gives me a slight scum read, mainly for his sarcasm seeming excessive.
Fuzzy, for him avoiding answering questions that Lucky posted.
Bert, for his posts that are unrelevant to the game, which I think is to try and clutter the fourm

That was page one. The unvote was merely an attempt at humor during RVS.

RE our PR, I think the only thing we need to do is out our hider. The other two PR's should stay hidden, and whoever holds the Vig/Tracker slot should not, by any means choose Vig over Tracker.

Picking Vig isn't optimal because not only will it mess up the det/Psyche, it has a possibility of messing up the Hider if the Hider hides behind it, or if the Hider accidentally kills the person who the Hider is hiding behind.

It also gives mafia more of a chance to win because, while they are killing the people hider hid behind the night before, they also have a another person killing narrowing down the pool of townies faster bringing them closer to a win.

Tracker is also more optimal because the Tracker can follow the hider each night and we will go into each day with at least two confirmed town until the hider dies.

when the Hider dies, the Tracker can out himself and tell us who the hider hid behind that night giving us at least one free scum lynch.

hopefully, at that point the other two scum members would be easy to pick out due to PoE

Because a lot of people are calling you town for something that a) isnt somethingnthat should be a town tell and b) scum could use as posting with town motivation, because its very easy for scum to gain town cred by doing what you did

I didn't notice many people calling Amrun town at this point. You seem very concerned with whether or not Amrun gains town cred, and it just feels weird to me. He articulates my exact feelings in post 85.

I think they do, but this is my first experience with hydras. Maybe that opinion will change as the game goes on. It certainly makes for more posting, which is nice.

Fuzzybutternut: Fuzzy has been pretty active in this game, but I'm not noticing much in the way of real in depth thought coming from a lot of his posts.  This might have to do with his posting style more than anything else though, so overall I'll call that bit null. However, I did not like his post 99 much.  It felt like an "I'm totally not worried about this, see everyone?" and it's more than a little scummy.

Oriole:  I agree with his earlier thoughts on overall strategy.  Post 194 also felt right to me.  Mildish townread.

Mnemonicdevice:  Not a whole lot to go on, here, but I don't see anything in his posts that I can attribute to potential scumminess.  I'm just going to call it null.

Lucky2u: Your posting style seems largely reactionary, which I typically do not attribute to town play. You didn't really bring much to the table in terms of content until heat started coming your way. In post 159 it seems like you are really just trying to divert attention from yourself by pointing at everyone else. It just came off as scummy to me. I would've taken the list of reads a lot more seriously before you had heat on you. Again, it felt reactionary.

Twin Flames:

ehh NS is a mega lurker and I tend to be lynchbait. So we are kinda used to peeps seeing us as having bad juju. My focus though is on pegging everyone else to catch scumz.

The whole "people normally think I'm scum, so pay no mind to that" thing is, umm, sort of scummy for me. I really don't like that. In combination with somewhat minimal content, I'm putting Twin Flames in the ever-so-mildly scummy read column.

Going to get some food and compile a few more ISOs.

Why yes, because its pretty easy for scum to do what Amrun did (knowing that Amrun knows the set up was broken, yet brings it up anyway to bring some sort of "hey I'm helping town out" vibe.

I wasn't arguing anything. I see that a lot on this site. It often leads to the downfall of a lot of potentially good players. "X wouldn't do this to Y." When in reality X WOULD do that to Y.

That's not a town mindset.

I ended up reading that Hoopla Hard Boiled game and a lot of townies ended up becoming paranoid of Hoopla because of her plan; yourself included. So it might be a strange mindset, but it's also a common one.

So far... My moral side is against any strategy that's about breaking the game rather than simply playing it how it's built, but I won't interfere if that's the way we decide to go.

Why not?

So, first of all, town has no motivation to lie (barring a few special circumstances, which this is not one of) so if you think a player is lying this should ring off bells in your head.
Secondly, if you're town you shouldn't care what other players read you as, because after all you KNOW you are town. (That is my philosophy on it anyway...Scum have more motivation to try and get these "town points."
Thirdly, BertKerb's 107 reads like only the first line of Amrun's 106 was read.

I don't see Bert/Lucky/Fuzzy as a scum team that's going to work here. Besides that it would mean every large non-RVS wagon was on scum, it would be mutual bussing in pretty much all directions. Sure, you guys could be doing that, but I don't consider it worth considering without a few flips.
